I just picked this one up yesterday. I have been after it for over 10 years. It's a bit rough, but not terrible. It's a 1968 GMC, 292, 3 speed. I got it running yesterday. I'll have to get more pics.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
It's a bit too rough for me, but I hated seeing it just sit and going to waste. I'll get it running and driving and probably sell it to someone else to mess with. I would like to find a nice survivor panel someday

I passed up a great condition panel I later linked onto this thread. That was a running 3 speed up in PA. I just don't have room for something like that right now although I really want one. |

1970 FORD???? Suburban. Me thinks he may not know what he has.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
I like that it ran good 27 years ago. If it really has light rust and his starting point is 2800, it might be a decent deal if he comes down some.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
I've heard of meth labs in the backs of 'burbs but a body shop?
I guess the seller means "there are body panels, etc. in the back." |
Re: Suburban and panel finds
After going back and forth, patiently waiting for almost 2yrs. I finally got this fairly rust/rot free Ca tub from a guy that parted it out 8 yrs ago. He scored it cheap at a estate sale. It was a running and driving burb. He parted it out after pulling the motor.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
Now this looks inviting, although the liftgate lip seems to have a lot of rust.
4x4, AC, rear AC......just posted 19 hours ago. http://chico.craigslist.org/cto/5834651104.html |
Re: Suburban and panel finds
My loser tag line, "if I had the space" or "if my truck was running." Anyway, you get the picture. I'm not a fan of showing up with a large sum of cash in states that deny the right of self defense, but I'd literally hire myself some muscle to go look at this one.
Nice C20 panel in CA. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/5824263744.html |
Re: Suburban and panel finds
I like that panel, I would show up with cash, air mattress, cooler and drive it home
