Here's a pic of my wife a "nail tech" doing a little letter painting on my new re-chromed 63' grill, as you can tell she has already painted the license plates and the old Chevy frames. :chevy:

Hmmm..

my mother is a retired cosmetologist/nail tech used to be known for her nail art. Might be time to put the ol' girl to work

About 15 years ago I had just bought a 63' Impala and mentioned to the wife that the car plates looked liked sh#t compared to the car, or something to the effect of ....looks like a new pair of sneakers with old shoelaces, she laughed and said "do you want me to paint them? I could make them look a lot better..... remember I paint for a living, :lol:she hasn't stop painting plates and frames since.

Too cool! Was thinking it might be something I could try my hand at someday. Would have to source out someone for painting the tag itself, but I could handle the finer details I think. I'm artistic & have a pretty steady hand.

Does your wife get a lot of business doing them? Looks like she does a great job! Thanks again. :chevy:

She has done sets here and there mostly for friends and I'm still by far her best customer  but the nail art is still her 1st love. ;)

No new progress, other than driving the wheels off of it  but I'm going to be picking up some new bumpers and side moldings, plus hopefully it will be having a new lower stance and power disc brakes soon.

Boy! I could see myself in that one, after I hacksawed the small back window, added a little white paint and swapped the grill to a 63' grill.:lol::lol: all kidding aside this one is nice! :chevy:

Re: 65' Short Fleet BBW "The Pumpkin"

Well, I few updates have been made to the pumpkin here recently, like new chrome bumpers :metal: and a new stance (thanks to "Kev's Classic's") a 4.5" drop in the front with dropped spindles plus a disc brakes conversion kit and a 5" drop in the back, I also have a set of new Mar K moldings ready to go on as soon as my body guy recovers from his knee surgery......But, I can't post any pics till they fix the server here (which I'm sure will be soon :uhmk:)

So I'll post this myself, till I can get some photos posted.

Stock 6 lug steel wheels in the back, stock 70ish 6 lug Chevy 4x4 steel wheel in the front now because of the disc brake conversion, with thin 15 inch chrome beauty rings and early 70's chromed Chevy luv doggies.
