Found a dash and steering column from a 97 truck. Also got a set of power leather seats from a 95 truck. They will need recovered so I plan on doing some Katzkins on them. I still need some door panels and a few odds and ends.

Man your coming along great. I had a 83 truck that I took down to the frame. Things didnt go as smooth as I had hoped with a few suspension parts. 2 Yrs in I decided I had enough. I sold off every part little by little. I bought the 92 and got to work. I learned alot on the first attempt. I decided I would set a reasonable plan and bust ass to get my goals done for the summer. I made those goals, now all I need is some $$ and a new set of goals!!

Worked on the truck a little tonight. Got the dash out so I could get all the A/C and heat parts out. I am going to clean up the firewall so these must go. I also got my master cylinder mocked into place for the TKO tranny.

I think the T-56 is rated at 450 ft lb torque. the Tko will hold 600.

That would be nice but a little over the top I guess. Just wanted a stout unit that I know will hold some abuse.

All I know to say is WOW!!
Very nice everything!!!
You have good taste in rocker arms.....those are the best.
I have never been able to break one.
They better be good too as they are $360 for a small block.

The only thing I kept thinking when I saw both of those rear setups is the word "gussets".
Maybe I have too much time welding up steel for Nuke plants but I do think a few gussets make it look all the more pro.

Re: New Project truck!!

On my setup we actually with a few added braces. I went thru the plate frame with the crossmember and ran pipe at a angle at the front of them. Should hold great!!
