Thanks Bro! Been drawing for 30 years, didn't happen overnight! Self taught. I am hoping to have some color on my truck next Saturday...WOOOHOOOO!!!!! I spent a few hours yesterday and today on it getting it ready. This is a pic I stole of the internet of the color, but I will also add some ghost blue pearl in the clear.

Nice drawing--you've got talent. I like to do renderings of vehicles and have done so for years, I started out in commercial art and moved on to painting vehicles.
That color is going to be eye catching, if you mix in blue pearl you'll have the Denver Broncos......... It will look awesome in changing light, can't wait to see it finished. Now hurry up and quit slackin'!

Sooooo, you do drawings eh. hmmm may have to talk later. Color will look great, jsut make sure not to put too much blue pearl in that color or it will "mudd" or "milk" out the color. just do a nice tri stage and it will SHINE FOR YOU.

Your avatar is the one that made me want to draw it! I have never drawn as a job, but have done a few t-shirts for a couple of shops. Hope the color comes out like I think it will. Think I'll take a nap!!!! heheheheh

Me neither!! The cost of the paint alone is sick, but it will be worth it.

I would be happy to put something on paper for ya. My bodyman/painter will be shooting the color and I have faith in him that he will get it right. It is a tri stage, gold undercoat, tangelo house of kolor, clear with the ghost blue pearl.

Alright. Here was my inspiration on style and color for my truck. The orange one is painted the same color that my truck will be. Always liked anything custom, so here are my bikes infront of my sister and brother-in-laws car (33 Ford Vicky). The car is getting painted this month too.

Have not heard that term in a while "endo", it brings back some memories. The paint is tangelo on the bike, so when I got my truck the color was obvious. The bike will have a permanent place in the bed of my truck......in case of untimely mechanical issues with the truck.

Here we go. PAINT!!! Went to the paint store and got my paint it's called Oh So Orange. I got my blue ghost pearl powder in on Thursday so ready to paint. I moved everything outta the shop and cleaned it. We moved all of the truck parts in and set them up as they would be painted. Ready for Saturday.

After letting everything dry for a few minutes it was time for the candy over the orange. It made a huge difference. These pics show before the clear coat.

I tried to capture some of the color changes in the paint, but I could not capture the true colors with my phone camera. Here are some examples with different lights on in the shop. The colors you can really see are gold, green, yellow, purple, blue, red, and of course orange. The ghost blue pearl in the clearcoat should give it a nice blue haze on the sharp edges in the sun. The pictures really do not show but gold and purple and that just does not do the truck justice. I will have to take some pics when the sun comes out, I have yet to see that myself and my bodyman said if it looks good under the lights wait till it's in the sun. Bottom line - 1 coat of sealer, 4 coats of orange, 4 coats of candy, 1 coat of ghost blue pearl, 2 coats of clear coat. That's 12 coats on it. D@MN!!!!!

There is no way to explain this paint, it looks amazing in person. I will have to take a good camera over to the shop and get some good pics of it.

Well paint is one thing, the engine is another! This guy still has not started on my engine but in the next six weeks I plan on seeing progress or completion on it. You still may be driving before me. I will get another couple of pics to post on Tuesday, it's supposed to be sunny out. Didn't even get a pic of rims with the inserts installed cause I was too carried away with the truck itself.

I am going to finish my frame while the paint cures over the next couple of weeks. It will start going back together after some other things. Things like brake lines, fuel lines, air hoses, compressors, air tank all still need to be installed. Swing by whenever ya want, the shops always open......it feels like it anyways.

Thanks! I saw it in the sun today (the cowl) for the first time, it looks really cool. Orange with blue pearl in it, then tilted it turns gold then green and yellow, but a little purple haze on the edges. Way different!

I am using alll 3M products. Finesse It, Finesse It Glaze, and Finesse It Finishing Polish. Sanding first with 1500 grit and stepping up to 2000. A pic with the sun below.

Here are a couple of pics from this weekend, great weather! The paint looks wild in the sun, and the rims take on a whole new look with the inserts. The emblem was just kinda stuck there for the pic, it isn't installed yet. The tire size on the back is 255-30-ZR22 for people that have asked.

Thanks! I have 1 1/2 sets of the regular moldings. Out of those I may have four peices that are worthy for the truck. I plan on buying a new set a little later.
