Didn't notice in the thread anywhere, but that shifter you're running. Is it a Lokar? if so, what size is it? I'm debating between the 24" and 32" for my Burb.

Yeah, that's the radical 32 by Lokar, but be forwarned, it comes up almost to my rear view mirror.

Went to Cholla Bay today and got some shots out there.

Thanks for the compliments, I built this thing to drive it and enjoy it!

Likewise, truck looks and sounds great! How is it having a shifter up that high?

BTW Rick - What body of water are you building boats near? I'm not up on my Arizona geography.

Thor,

I live on the beach on what they call "Arizonas' Ocean", it is 70 miles south of Arizona in Mexico. The body of water is the Sea of Cortez, or the Gulf of California. Absolute paradise!... fresh seafood any time, and cheap!

Blake ... Come on down!

Dylan... I guess that is why the shifter is called the "radical 32", it is high! I like it but I'm sure there are a lot of guys that would not.
It reminds me of the old hot rods back in the 60's, by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth... "Rat Fink"
I'm dating myself, OK... I'm old!

Been real busy at work the last few months, no time to work on shop truck, finally got a chance to start on exhaust last Saturday, got it done yesterday.
I wanted the Summit X-Pipe in there, but let me tell you, it was a sumbich fitting it in between the driveshaft and the bottom of the frame. Also I had to go between the trans support crossmember and the cab floor. When you want a frame and body dragger, it is what it is.

But any way, I love the sound and power. Been hotrodding it around the last couple of days, it kicks ass!

Re: New member new Project

Where did you get the lift? is that at the course?

Ricks' 72C10 07-06-2010 10:41 PM

Re: New member new Project

Blake,
I ordered the lift off the internet for $1500 dollars and had it sent to your Dads storage yard behind A1 Golf Cars, and went and picked it up and brought it down here. And yes, I installed it at the golf course shop.

When you gonna come down and go for a ride in the '72?
