Been working on my truck alot lately. Finally getting some progress done.
Changed out the steering wheel (need to find the horn ring). Installed the carpet, seat, weather stripping and door sills. Mounted my gas tank (temporary). Drove it like I stole it today!!! Here's a couple of pics...

Whats the backspacing on the Champs; or are they zero offset? I really want to run 15x10's on the rear of my step '66 but I want to make sure they'll clear if I drop it some 3".

Would you say it's a no-go?

Just finished looking at your thread, nice job, have you finished this since last summer?

Bravo on the wagon man, every time I tell the wife I want to build a wagon she looks at me like I am nutty. I saw an older mopar wagon lowered and blowered with limo tint windows and mag wheels when I was a kid...
Stuff like that leaves an impression you know?

I would like to do an old Pontiac Catalina or Bonneville wagon, 66-69 ish though.

I liked where your paint and chrome was going on your truck, be nice to see it finished!

Thanks for the kind words. No I haven't finished it yet. I've driving it around like that trying to enjoy it as much as possible. Now I am about to get back to work on it weather allowing. They really never are finished though.

Wagons are cool man, I've been negleting it too though.

To me putting these in a show is not about taking a trophy home.
It is like taking a kid to an air show, or museum, or obseratory....you never know when something that seems such a small effort on someones part will inspire a kid, or influence an adult to fulfil a childhood dream.

When I put my Tempest in shows, it is the old folk that look at my car with that far away look in their eyes....and it is always a similar story....they had one, or dated their spouse in one.
Usually a very magical moment between them and my car, and I get to witness it, but more importantly I get to supply that for them.

I think it is great that you show it.
Mine will be in shows when I am done, and again it isnt about "winning" but the showing and the talking and the friends I have yet to make.

I salute you man, good looking truck !!!
