Does the bed of that truck fold up or is it on pistons to view the frame?

how are the hood struts working out? do you have any closer pictures of where you mounted the struts on the hood? what length strut did you use or do you have a part number for it?

Just 2 bed strips fold up to access the fuel cap and battery charging posts and the battery. They swing on a hinge we are working to proto type for production it uses gas shocks to help open the part.

They are just gas shocks from McMastercar. Here are some pics.

Ironworks. Great job on that truck. There are so many over the top items on it. The detail is out of this world. It is one of my top favorites.

There have been quite a few people that have asked about purchasing the hood emblem and the glove box speaker box combo. I have been working with my machinist to bring the price down from the cost of a one off part to something slightly more reasonable. The price won't be cheap. But if your interested you can email me for further info. iskhotrods@yahoo.com

G'day,
The truck is absolutely divine! The owners must be very proud as you and your crew would be. Well done.

I am curious as to whether or not the steering wheel is of stock size or if you have modified that as well. It looks different to the ones that I have (smaller), and as they are not thick on the ground over here so it is hard to tell.

Thanks,

Regards,

Trently.

That is the cleanest super charged LS I have ever seen. It is so clean that it looks like it isn't even wired! Would you mind sharing a little on how you did that? the wiring harnesses and coils have always been an eye sore.

Ironworks, that truck is outstanding thanks for sharing your build and all the details with us here. You and your crew clearly have some awesome skills and help to inspire the rest of us normal people. Who was your painter?? The shop looks like Palmers in Camarillo. I think they did a blazer awhile back that won a bunch of awards and they also painted the "most beautiful roadster" a year or two ago....

Bringing this back from the wwaaaayyy dead - what ever happened to this door latch kit?

Did this truck ever go up for sale?

Re: The 48 chevy truck Ironworks is building.

No idea there but that truck is still spot on beautiful and could hold it's own with anything built since. 8 + years later and the truck isn't dated a bit as to when it was built. That is when you do it right. No fad stuff or trinkets that will be out of date in a year or two and supurb workmanship.

When it popped up again I saw I had commented on it while scrolling the commets and then saw when. That truck would have been a star at the Portland Roadster Show this weekend as it still knocks it out of the park.

Looks like a 67-72 blazer rear bumper that has been shortened to fit the step bed and the tag cutout removed, then rechromed.
