Tuned in to drool. But I'm warning ya, I reserve the right to steal ideas for my Blazer. 2000 miles erases any plagiarism accusations. :metal:
(Not to mention my Blazer will take so long, this one will be getting restored again before I am finished)

Cool! I tuned into this build hoping to see something like this. I know Nate has been wanting to put something together for conversions for a few years now.

Looks good so far- I'm in.

Looking good! I had been thinking of giving up on my shortbox and throwing all it's parts at my blazer. I had pretty much decided against it but this thread is not helping:)

You mean the trailing arms? The wheelbase was too short.

I'm curious where the issue was. I've converted a 4wd w/ arms before- it was tight, but it worked. Was it that you would not be able to lay frame due to arm/frame interference?

Oh, and we need an update :D

The trailing arms contact the frame not allowing it to fully lay out. Leaves it about 3 inches short.

Is this just with the 4x4 blazer frames?

Correct. The 4WD frames run straight back at a width of 34". The 2WD frame bows out over the rear differential allowing more room and clearance for the trailing arms.

Hmmm... If this holds true, I may have to move this discussion to my Blazer thread.

/hijack off/

More progress pics, please :D

Oh, and we need an update :D

You can run original trailing arms and lay frame, just make the whole trailing arms stay inside of frame rails so it runs beside frame and doesn't go under

I think Larry, suffering from photo withdraw, is somewhere seated on a shower floor rocking back and forth, water running, staring into the abyss of a life without updates.
