Attachment 1524750 I'm a fan of the 67-68 moldings and since this truck was a base model I had to make provisions! I have a good set of mock up moldings.

The moldings will set off the truck really well.

Re: 68c10/c6

Thanks Doug I thought the same thing! Some trucks look good with out moldings I myself think the 67-68 moldings look really good they break up the side of the truck! Ron

I thought I'd modify the front bumper so we filled the bolt holes and narrowed it 3/4" on each side! Attachment 1527209

was that pretty straight forward? Just cut out a section and did everything line right back up?

Drifters 04-27-2016 09:13 PM

Re: 68c10/c6

Thanks jjzepplin I've always thought that these trucks just needed a little tweaking haha! Rod Run take a piece of 3/4 tape run it straight up from top to bottom about 1 inch to the outside of the outermost bolt hole and and cut along the outside of each side of the tape and the pieces will line up perfectly for welding! Ron

Thanks. I was always thinking it might, but I just wasn't 100% sure.

Right after I finish shaving my roof rails, that will be next. Actually, I probably do it while working on my rails, because that crap gets tedious

Re: 68c10/c6

I like where your going with the bumper! I don't like the raised plate mount area much myself. I might consider radiusing the bottom of the center opening to make it more resemble the grill openings maybe? Just a thought.

Drifters 12-17-2016 10:18 AM

Re: 68c10/c6

Thanks for the input Mike we did start with a cutout like the grill but after multiple opinions we opted to shape it like the radius at the top of the fenders I still need to fill it in it's not done that's just a cut opening the opening will reduce once that's done!

Re: 68c10/c6

No! Thanks for the compliment... I'll be painting mine to match the rest of the trim & wheels! I've decided on a more aggressive look for this truck!

The rear looks good. How did you make the lower separation trim?

Drifters 12-20-2016 11:50 PM

Re: 68c10/c6

I bought some 5/8 wide 1/4 round aluminum strips and bent them using a pulley and a 4" break! The cool thing is you can chrome it or powder coat it in my case I'm going to powder coat all the trim to match!
