Been having the very same problem. I deleted ALL the 99 pages of pics I had there and am currently uploading them back one by one on a french hosting website but you have other alternatives too: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/07/02/ph...r-third-party/
Choose what suits you best. For my part, I went with https://www.hostingpics.net/ Don't rely on the flag for changing it to English, it won't work. I'm not really concerned as I'm a french canadian so...

Hoping to be of help.

Re: Project: Patina (1949 Chevrolet 1434)

Not necessarely, all of us who have that same problem with photobucket will most likely find another FREE hosting website and re-upload our pics or at the very least be able to add new ones.

For my part, I download every bit of build I like on my hard drive for future reference. So, I could be able to help many of you who lost their pics. I renamed a lot by the "number" they had in each page like A1 for the first pic on page one of "x" build etc.

YOU GUYS thought me this: For every problem, there is a solution. :metal:

The only ones I stopped downloading are those with too much modifications to them as I perfectly know I'll never have the dough to even dream of making such mods.

So, if I can be of help to anyone here, just ask!

PS in some cases, there were a few pics I didn't download because I didn't need them but more than 95% are here on my hard drive. It might be easier for you than ckecking one by one which pic went where.

If you go on google Chrome and search "Photobucket Embed Fix" you can add the extension and all 3rd party shared photos reappear.

I'll be adding more photos of my build shortly.

Since these photos were taken Ive sold the wheels in search for something a little bigger and wider. I also bought a project and flipped it to fund this project. Over the winter I plan to save up some funds to buy a chassis and engine harness in addition to some engine goodies. I'd like to have the truck running by next season.

While I was home this summer I got some photos taken of my 6.0L Blazer.

I like the supercharger. Where did you pick that up at? I have been thinking of something similar. Is it sitting on your intake backwards? it looks like the pulley is at the back. Nice progress.

S-dime blazers have a soft spot in my heart. I had an 85 that was lowered with a 400 sb engine. I sold it when I bought my 48.

I picked it up a couple years ago off the local classifieds. It was a good deal and came with basically everything.

The supercharger is just resting on there. I need to get a lower profile valley cover so I can bolt it down. The vent tube is holding it up in the pictures. This is the car style blower so it's on the right way the TB is on the front unlike the truck blowers. I cant wait to see how it works!

Re: Project: Patina (1949 Chevrolet 1434)

Update.

I have some big changes coming this spring/ summer!

Before Christmas I purchased a custom GSI backhalf kit complete with a fabricated currie Ford 9" (TruTrac, 35 spline, 3.50.1). The backhalf is also coming with a custom aluminum fuel cell, raised bed mounts, and battery boxes. They are trying to fab up a sway bar kit before the backhalf ships.

I sold my Accuair SwitchSpeed and purchased a 4 corner e-level system in addition to i-level.

I also ordered some Stainless Works LSS10 Long Tube headers with V-Bands. The exhaust will be nearly identical to my 6.0L Blazer swap. I have some Borla Pro XS mufflers and a 3' SW X Pipe and turndowns on its way.

I completed my ordering tonight with a large Summit Order. Tonight I ordered the remainder of what I need including a Lokar 23' single bend shifter, Lokar eliminator gas pedal, throttle cable NVU Gauges, Ididit column floor mount, and some spark plug cables.

Late last year I purchased a 2003 Denali XL with a 6.0 LQ4 to replace my 5.3L I had. I'm doing the best I can to have this truck running by the end of the summer.

Hopefully this post will be enough to get everyone on here caught up!

Like I mentioned previously, I bought a custom back half from GSI Machine and Fabrication. I received the backhalf in the late spring of 2018 and immediately got working on it.

After picking it up from the border, my first job was to get the backhalf welded to the frame by a certified welder.

Once it was home it was time to mock the suspension up

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4820/...3f30628e_k.jpgTrucks 2018 by Spencer Wiedeman, on Flickr

With the backhalf i opted for a higher dollar Currie Ford 9" rear with a Detroit TruTrac, 3.50.1 gears and 35 Spline axels

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4835/...0d5cf3cb_k.jpgTrucks 2018 by Spencer Wiedeman, on Flickr

This backhalf is based off of GSI's C10 backhalf kits. This S10 version is #2 of 2 in existence. They use a nice looking billet watts link

Re: Project: Patina (1949 Chevrolet 1434)

Shortly after getting the frame sorted I stumbled across a 1953 5 window cab and body. As I was never really a fan of the green patina I decided to jump on it and change it up a bit.

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7823/...dd71a700_k.jpgUntitled by Spencer Wiedeman, on Flickr

After some CLR and elbow grease I got the paint back looking like it should

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7844/...a69cd5ea_k.jpgUntitled by Spencer Wiedeman, on Flickr

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, I am running 22' GM Transit wheels. They come standard as 22x9. To get the rears to be 22x13 I had 4x rims split and re-welded together to achieve the deep dish and wide stance.

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4909/...b5b1893f_k.jpgTrucks 2018 by Spencer Wiedeman, on Flickr

I had a difficult time finding a tire company to mount my low profile tires on the modified rims so the truck sat without rear wheels for a while

As the Backhalf essentially made my Code504 kit obsolete I decided to send my truck to my friend Rich @overkillcustomsfab to design new cab and front clip mounts in CAD.

My biggest issue with the Code504 kit is it doesnt lay the running boards on the grount. They keep them up about 2' above the frame. Being that I'm bagged I want my truck as low as possible. Rich started with the running board mountd and designed everything off theie height.

Once the truck is back from his shop it will be heading straight to Steve at Federal County Customs for floor work, custom beadrolled firewall and cab corners. The patina will be left where it can be but the firewall will be sprayed a gloss red along with the interior.

Stay tuned for more.

My dually also looks quite a bit different. I completed the Denali swap and sent it to my buddy Steve at Federal County Customs for some paint matching and tint. Once it was back I lowered it with 2" Beltech spindles, 3" Belltech Keys, 4-5" DJM hangers and 3" Belltech shackles. I just need some load bags now.

I wont be using the firewall. I personally don't like it due to that big hump. My buddy Steve will beadroll me something a little more modern and clean looking that fits my LS.

Yeah, Ive been considering just getting a factory OE panel versus using the b*tchin stuff. But 18 years ago it was one of the only prefabbed units around. The lange stuff is awesome. Seen a few others on here install it. Really cleans and dresses up the firewall but keeps it classy.

You and your pops both have amazing trucks. I greatly appreciate good fab work. Been doing quite a bit of it lately and its alot to take in from prototype to production. Here are my adjustable running board brackets I designed along with a full kit. Biggest downfall with the other guys kits, you just can't lay out without messing with it for sure.

Yea, Ive been following you on instagram. Your kit looks good and provided builders a lot of adjustment that other kits don't. One thing that I wanted for my build was to have a complete frame with everything welded on vice another bolt on kit. I'll be sure to post photos of the completed chassis once I pick it up in a couple weeks. I'm getting excited.

I just sold my NVU gauges so I think I will get a set of these. They are the closest to stock looking aftermarket gauges I've found.

joedoh 01-28-2019 12:58 AM

Re: Project: Patina (1949 Chevrolet 1434)

I think they just came out, I like that you can use them with the obdII port with the extra module and get a lot of those features on the TFT display. I dont like that the gauge sizes are still necked down, the oem gauge is much bigger than most aftermarket gauges and so they use adapter rings, and it looks like dakota digital did that too.

I used CON2R gauges on mine, the only complaint I have so far is that they are too bright, even with the dimmer turned all the way down they light up the whole interior. but the CON2R set is exactly like the original, the extra size makes a big difference.
