Very little, just kidding, we're good. I'm glad I have him around to push the oldman in getting things done. I'm very happy to have it back on the road again...Jim

Nice work you and Mark are doing. Should drive nicer with the fuel injection.

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Hey friends, back in post 1224 or 1225 I mentioned calipers sticking. Got both changed and it feels like it was when first done. Note I did have to do a lot of checking to get the correct calipers for the kit I bought.

Cruise control, Mark said to check the magnets on the driveshaft, which he did. I guess during the accident, something hit one of the magnets and knocked it off, so I only have one. It doesn't get the correct speed signal, so no function.

Tomorrow we head to Springfield for the Mid-American nats, so will take pics and report on the trip later. Everyone have a great Memorial Day...Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Ok, here's the update from our trip to Springfield on Friday 5/26. Because of the weather forecast of severe weather Saturday (including baseball size hail). Mark and I decided we would only go for 1 day. Was raining when we left home, but cleared up and was nice the rest of the day. Didn't take a lot of pics only a few, was busy with other stuff. So here's a few pics in next post...Jim

Pic 1 forgot to take pic when I filled up but here's a blurry shot about 20 mins down the road.

Pic 2 I'm checking to see if this video from my camera will work. WOULD NOT LOAD

Pic 3 Me, Mark and a friend in his 67 Camaro.

Pic 4 Nice chevy wagon parked by us.

Pic 1 GMC for lower;)

Pic 2 I had a 73 Z28 so I have a soft spot for the 2nd gen Camaro.

Pic 3 Sweet extended cab.

Pic 4 Burb.

Pic 5 Home from show, Drove 237.9 miles @70 mph most of the time. Had about 9 miles of fair ground crusing thru out the day (doesn't help gas milage). Average 16 miles per gal., not great, but I'm happy with the Fitech system.

Couple things I forgot to mention. Had the pleasure of meeting two board members, that have been following my thread. Both working on AD's, but not getting much done and very few postings.

I also had my truck safety inspected and again passed the 23 inspection.

That's it for now...Jim

Thanks for the pic Jim. Looks like a bunch of nice vehicles there. Glad it all went smooth and no baseball hail. It's cool meeting other board members, to be able to put a face to the truck lol.

Your welcome. Just wish we had more time to talk trucks, but both were with friends, so they had to move on...Jim

Jim, Sorry the weather messed you up. Good Pictures of the time you were there. My wife and I tried to surprise you and show up at Springfield but a Nurse where she worked had a problem and Eve had to cover for her. Sounds like we would have had a WET Saturday anyway! The more I drive that Caddy the more I'm Spoiled by the Ride. I hope to get down to see you and your Wife sometime this Summer, later Ray

Nothing new on mine. We had our local car show here today, with about 200 cars and trucks showing up. Here's a few pic I took.

Pic 1 Nice yellow truck

Pic 2 & 3 Belongs to friend named John with a 5.3 engine. He's building a 6.0 for later.

Pic 1 belongs to Marshall, we call him Pink Floyd.

Pic 2 54 belongs to local guy here.

Pic 3 Never seen this one before, it's mounted on a new frame, not sure what but looks like a 1500 series.

Pic 4 This truck is also local, has a 402 big block, all numbers matching, he's working on a 67 step side that he wants Mark to do some work on.

Pic 5 Nice Art work, but

Pic 1 nice truck

Pic 2 I have never seen an S-10 like this before, never seen the owner to ask about it. Looks like some kit installed back in the day. It's a 1987. Anyone know anything about the set-up.

Pic 3 Mark did some work on the vette, installed the headers, side pipes, got the car running and a few other things. At one time it was a tilt front end, and owner wanted to change. Mark sent him to a shop in Arkansas.

First three pics are of the show area. I would guess between 150 to 170 cars and trucks.

Pic 4 These were parked on the street, nice red pickup

That's it...Jim
