I would say, lowered around 4-6 would really set your truck off even a 2-4 would look good

the rims came with the truck when I got it I know they are 16's and the caps have a chevy logo in the middle the previous owner told me they were rallies but original rallies did not come in 16's so I think they are aftermarket

Thanks guys, it's a fun project. Once I figure out my smog dilema I'll be lowering it 4/6 or so and going thru the interior. The paint is ok, it was repainted by someone who wasnt detail oriented and it kinda shows. Now that I have this truck my dad wants to sell off his 54 Chevy pro street pickup project and get another square body. :metal:

Sounds good Smoke Dog! Where did you get the chrome center for your grille?

jj_62607: Welcome to the board. Nice truck you got. What are your plans for it?

Thanks partner!!! Purchase new grill for the 86, I think!!! and pulled the white coating off of it, that's all! Got the guts from a 73 vette, headman shorties, and a little something from my builder who use to build NASCAR engine's for the top name guys from ALABAMA in the 60's-70's.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

thanks JohnC my plans for the truck are to restore it with a little custom things here and there not to much though. Im still in the beggining stages of the truck but im serious about doing it right I ran the vin and found that it was originally a 454 the guy I got it from was a put gas in it and go type of person when i bought it it had no fluids what so ever im suprised the inline 6 is still kickin. the only issue I really have with the truck besides the inline is the radiator support and right side inner fender everything else is actually decent.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

That's really weird that it used to have a 454 in it, and they changed it to a 6cyl. Usually it's done in reverse.
