Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Well, not really much to report other than I mocked up the hydroboost unit and plumbed the brake lines.

But the paint is smooth and nice. I used Kustom Shop's epoxy primer and satin black. It sprayed really nice. But the paint is smooth and nice. I used Kustom Shop's epoxy primer and satin black. It sprayed really nice. So for anyone looking for some Satin black and epoxy primer for their frame this may be the ticket. It really was not expensive and you will have enough left to do your suspension parts also. |

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8354/8...4ed5dc69f4.jpg Than I decided the paint on the frame was too glossy for my taste so I stripped it all off and used the Satin Black. I'm sick and I know it but at least I own up to it.lol This truck should have been done by now. Its just sad that its not. |

I found a good solution (for me only) to the cross member hitting the drive shaft scenario. Lower the engine. Get better (lower) center of gravity. I needed to move the engine back a few inches to achieve this it and had to redo the firewall. This gets me a better front to back weight ratio also. The only issue that I see is that the engine looks like a peanut in the engine compartment. Overall, a lot of work. |

Anyway I've been blocking the heck out of the cab. Its still not to my satisfaction but its getting there. Here is the firewall, its coming out pretty good but I want to block it a little more before paint. Its pretty straight but not where I want it. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8309/8...80ae057e1a.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8317/8...e677a4e135.jpg |

Man that frame looks SWEEEET!!!
Great job as usual BAM! |
Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Looking good, brake lines are clean. I think we're still pretty much tied, although if I was doing any substantial amount of body work you'd be pulling ahead :alc:

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Yes sir I did, thank you very much.
I am going to order those soon also. I have to lower my engine so it fits in the compartment :( . it sits very high due to the C-10 front clip. Plus it should help with my steering linkage issue. |
Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Looking good Bam, firewall is cool, the work now will pay off when you paint.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
