Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Long time lurker. This place has changed a TON since I last posted. LOL
Just brought this home Saturday. Texas truck (still titled in texas!) http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...g?t=1378099836 LOADED with options. LOL http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...g?t=1378099979 Non-running 250(?) CID (pushrods are out so it's probably ugly inside) http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...g?t=1378100136 Rear view. The bed looks like a factory metal floor? I thought stepsides only came with wood floors? http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...g?t=1378100296 I also purchased a 1967 plate the very same day. Thank you smartphone technology. http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...otos/Plate.jpg Immediate plans are to get it running and enjoy it. It's gonna be at least a year before I have the funds to get serious about rebuilding it. |

It's Labor Day so I took the beast out for a long drive. There's something about old trucks in the desert.

Hi. I'm new to this forum, signing in from Norway. I bought this 68 recently. It's my first "old" car. My daily drive is an 2003 Avalanche.

Right down there in kijo's original post. Nothing dramatic. Just an unsolicited "clean up".

This is Frankenstein. I bought it for $500 from a friend who said it's kind of a Frankenstein since it has bits and pieces from everything. I cleaned it up a bit, put a starter and battery in it. Truck runs great, but has some leaks that need fixed. I just hope to make it a daily driver.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Here is my 72 3/4 ton. It has a late model Vortec 355, small Comp roller cam, Performer intake, 600 carb, 1" spacer, Hedman headers, 3.54 gears. I have a chassis dyno so I have tweaked the combo for all it's worth. It currently makes 260whp and I use it to tow my 26' enclosed goose neck race car trailer.
