Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Thanks I thought so. If they don't work out, and don't look that good, I'll sell those too, and with the money I get from all 3 sets I get something I REALLY want. With a little extra money added. I think I'll like them though. :metal:

I'm glad I took the pictures. I'm still laughing about it, especially the comments from you guys. :haha:
The wheels were less than 10 miles away. I guess it was meant to be. |
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Dennis , your pack rat story reminded me , I have a packrat that moved in to a old military International 2 -1/2 ton truck we have up at the ranch.
Things were about two feet deep on the passenger side of the cab last fall. Crazy collection of stuff he has accumulated .. I did not have time to get him when we closed up for winter. It is on the to do list when we can finally return in the spring/summer |
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
thats a great deal on the tires at least , they look like new
the rims themselves are a bit out of date they arent as timelesss as centerlines gragars and 5 spoke rims , i would either put the tires on the gragars or like you said trade all 3 sets for sumting you realy want |

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
the garage i used to work got a car that wouldnt start after sitting for a while , so they cracked open the airfilter box and found a family of mice made a nest out of the filter material inside the box .
took a long time to get rid of the mice in the garage and the store next to it after they ran everywhere and did the male female mice thing |
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
When I was a mechanic on German Cars I went to start a Mercedes, and heard a funny noise then the engine stopped as soon as it started to start. I looked under the hood and found a cat all sliced up. I guess he went in there when the engine was warm. He's cold now. :haha:

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
look wat i found .....http://www.mrpackrat.net/rats_in_cars.htm
i know of some car brands that have shockwire under the engine as an option in some places there rodents (think they where ferrets ) that knaw on the elctric wiring under the hood of cars and cause mallfunctions or fire |
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Another time a 924 Porsche was towed in because it didn't start. I opened the hood and all the wires were eaten by a rat. Or Rats. Me like Rats when I get work from them. :lol;

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
When I built a house for a guy in Hawaii I lived in a old barn in a orchid farm. Talk about rats. They got into everything. When we left we put a bunch of poison out. When back a year later to finish the place. The rats tunnels into the center of our sleeping bags and died. :waah: Things over there don't dry up very good. They imported mongoose to get rid of the rats. The only problem is the rats come out at night and the mongooses sleep at night, so they ate all the bird eggs instead.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
When we lived in Thousand Oaks, Ca they had a problem with rats in that area. We couldn't sleep at night because of all the commotion going on in the attic. The Roof Rats would run all around up there and fight. It must have been 100 or more of them up there, because of how noisy it was. It was freaking us out. I found out how they were getting into the house. We had a in ground spa installed, and they ran the gas pipe from the other end of the house through the attic and down the outside wall on the other end of the house. The A$$ holes didn't seal the pipe where it came out of the wall. It was a small crack around the pipe that the rats squeezed through. We heard about this poison called D-Con. When they eat it they get thirsty, and since there is no water in the attic they leave to find water. When they drink the water it activates the poison, and they die very soon after that. It worked perfect, as we couldn't hear them anymore. Then I sealed up the pipe, and put a rat trap up there. I checked the trap every day, and got 13 more rats. I knew when we got one, because when the trap went off the rat would flip around, and we could hear that at night.
Sorry for the long story. It something I'll never forget. :blah::blah::blah: |
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Anyway...back to the build. Anyone want my 15 & 16"Cragers, or 15" Centerlines? I'm out of money, and have to sell more parts. :waah: I have lots of 47 to 55 Chevy truck parts also. Plus a whole 54 Chevy Truck not running project.
|
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I've got a dollar on the 54! How much you wanting for the rims and what size's are then? I got a buddy looking for rims.
|
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
The Cragers are 15x7 and 16 by I think 8". The centerlines are 15x7 all 4. The Cragers are $300, and the Centerlines are $200 plus shipping. But it's a PITA to ship wheels.
