Got stuck last week at a show and thought my alternator went bad, but after having it check and they told me it was fine. Had to do more looking at why i wasn't getting power to my batteries. these pic's are what i found, good reason why i wasn't putting out 14 volts..... the bottom pic is of the 4 gage wire i used to get the power to the batteries! I don't understand why anyone would cut a wire and use a wire half it's size and leave it that way.

I have worked as a moble mechanic for a tree trimming company. and that type of thing was common on auction equiptment. it's the what ever it takes attitude of some people that don't think farther than a few minutes ahead.

Any way it's good to hear from you Ray!

I changed the oil, and only managed to spill a quart this time. I adjust and bleed the front brakes. Started her up and drove her around the neighbor hood.

Got her out from under a half-broken camper, out of the driveway after moving one Jeep and jump starting another, across a small ditch & out on the street to be picked up next Saturday.
Here she is as I last saw her:

I had problems with mine years ago like that, after I had paid a guy 500 to rewire the truck. Unwrapped the new tape and found three wires of various gauges, four or five splices and one wire that was so long it had been doubled over twice, all crimped at the end into one fitting. Lots of burned wires too. The "not my truck" attitude.

Spent two hours organizing the garage. It has taken a lot longer than I anticipated but will be well worth the effort this winter. It will be my first winter with an insulated, sheet rocked, and painted garage.

I'm jealous.
I'll be working on mine at the shop (I'm an auto mechanic with a lenient boss), on lunch breaks & evenings, until I move somewhere with a work space.
