Yes they are metal. Did you see how I made the exhaust coming out the front of the fender?

No, I must have missed that one..
I ask because I like the 73-87 style bed but I would change out the wheel openings to match the front.
I have never thought the 55-66 step beds looked right on the 60-66 trucks...
I do like the 60-66 fleet beds and I am building one for my 63 pro-street.
It is definitely going to be a one off deal..

Got the wifie her favorite car last week. It's a 2014 MINI Cooper Clubman S. She finally got what she wanted. Not what I wanted. I have to admit it, I love it too. It handles better than the Corvettes we had, and is fast. A bonus is it gets up to 35mph... wooohooo:metal:

It makes my garage look bigger:lol:

Congrats to the wifey! That's a neat looking little ride, & I like the mini wagon feel it has. The guy that bought my old VW Cabriolet a couple years ago had a Mini Cooper. I think he said he drove one as a rental & decided to get one himself. I had a chance to ride in it with him to the bank. It was a peppy little ride that seemed to handle well! I can't remember if his had a turbo or not.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

its designed and buils by BMW it should handle good
they allso have cooper S kits for them dunno if youres has a compressor but the kit includes some stuff to change the fuelmap manifolt pressure troathier exaust and a few other things

i realy like those retro cars but at this moment there still way outside my pricerange
i drive a 1st generation smart fortwo myself , its kindah slow but light (good milage and low taxes ) my 6.7 frame fits in it the doors are big so i dont have to turn myself intoo a pretsel to get intoo the seat or out like i had to in my mercedes 190 and it has electric everything , its all i need

the biggest downside to cars made by BMW is the cost of maintanance and parts , you can do maintanance youreself but its hard to reset the service light unless you have the propper gismo for it
they realy want you to have there servicepoint work on it and chare you an arm and a leg for it

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

This Mini is an S, which means it does have a Turbo. It kicks a$$, and handles like a go cart. Being that it's a 2014 and a lease it has 36 months of free services. I don't have to pay a dime, plus get a free rental car if I need it. Also has a 4 year warranty. :metal:
So we love it, and will probably buy it at the end of the lease.
We just ordered new custom plates for it.
R MINEEE

57 is looking Sweet!:metal:

I haven't driven the new Mini Coopers, but back in the mid 80's I was stationed on a little island off the coast of Portugal and drove a local's Mini a bunch... it was alot of fun, but the old wore out 4cyl probably was lucky to put out 50hp... Fun nonetheless!!!

Have fun!!!

Wish I could fit in one of those... but I am the opposite of mini. :haha:
Now if they made a Maxi Cooper, my fat butt might fit in one of those.....:sumo:

I agree, but the wheels on the truck are mine, and the 57 belongs to a customer. Besides the the bolt patterns are different. :uhmk:
