I also don't understand the ad. Out of dozens of photos not one of the dash. Photos of the fake documents seem more interesting to the seller. Does it have a complete set of seat belts? Why only lap belts? Why does it look like the air vents have been removed? And what about the wiring harness hanging from under the dash? Looks to be the light switch. Obviously the truck has been put up for sale before the finishing work is done, yet they claim " The truck starts right up, purrs and drives great. The brakes are very sharp and you can turn the power steering with one finger." At this price point I'm not a buyer but the alarm bells in my head are ringing. All this is my opinion of course and that doesn't hold much water. |
Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
At that price point there sure are a lot of red flags beautiful truck though

72 Cheyenne Super $8500. Looks to be a smoking deal. Not mine
https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/c...501938206.html Serious inquiries only please. Thank you! My Grandpa bought this truck August 2021 and due to his unexpected passing we are selling it. Since it was such a recent purchase and he didn't drive it much, I have attached the original ad he purchased it from to share the most information. We took it into the mechanic back in January to get checked out and the master cylinder for the brakes is brand new now as well as the front fuel line is brand new. The truck has two fuel lines only one is functioning we opted not to replace the second one as it wasn't needed. Otherwise the shop said everything is looking great and it hasn't been driven since. "1972 Chevrolet C20 Cheyenne Super - $9,000 (LAKEWOOD) 1972 Chevrolet C20 Cheyenne Super condition: good cylinders: 8 cylinders fuel: gas odometer: 75743 paint color: blue title status: clean transmission: automatic Too many projects so she has to go! I purchased this truck from the family who bought it new and have a stack of various receipts. It is a rare Cheyenne Super and is optioned with a factory tilt wheel, power disc brakes, tinted glass, and the camper special package. Has 2 working fuel tanks and the fuel gauge works for both! It still has the original jack mounted in the cab corner and comes with the Protecto Plate as well. It has factory heavy duty rear suspension, front stabilizar and air bags. This truck has an excellent running original 350, which was completely rebuilt less than 4k miles ago. It has an aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock carb, electronic ignition and headers. The radiator, battery, alternator and voltage regulator are all new. All of the original gauges are fully functional and the turbo 400 transmission shifts like it was new and has an oil cooler as well! It has new tires and brakes on all 4 corners and stops on a dime! In an effort to be fully transparent the truck is solid with minimul rust throughout but the passenger fender is starting to show rust through on the bottom. The doors, floor boards, and cab corners are solid with virtually no rust whatsoever, as are the rocker panels which is very rare for these trucks! The bed is in great shape with only minor surface rust. Having had a camper on it for most of its life it was very well protected. I have the upper trim for the bed sides, which like that on the truck, is near mint condtion as well! The windshield is new as well as the door seals! Overall the truck is a great restoration candidate or drive it like it is and enjoy the many compliments you’ll get while doin so! Having restored a K10 in the past Im very familiar with these trucks and would have to say you would be hard pressed to find a more perfect example of an original 72 Super! This truck has all original body panels and runs and drives like it was new! Come take a look, take it for a drive and hear it run! You wont be disappointed! If the post is up its still available! Call if you’re interested and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have! Not into tire kickers and like most I value my time so serious inquiries only!" |

72 Cheyenne Longhorn $12,900. Not mine. Too bad they didn't post the SPID.
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/c...500436245.html 1972 Chevy C20 Cheyenne 3/4 ton pickup. Rare Longhorn Edition. 350 engine, 4 speed manual transmission, stock quadrajet 4-BBL carburator with dual exhaust. 116,640 miles. Last year of the Longhorn edition with 3,328 being manufactured with 6" extended frame and bed. Truck runs and drives strong and has been problem free. As you can see in pics, no rocker panel rust. Previous owner kept covered or indoors and owned for over 30-years. Engine was rebuilt in 1993 and 4-speed tranny in 2010 (have receipts). Bed tool box door repaired and ready for paint. Bed is wood and will need to be replaced. Many new quality parts (tires, wheels, rear bumper, complete bench seat restoration, steering wheel, lights and more. Lots of spare parts like original AM radio, OEM replica antenna, ect. This is not a rust bucket and cetaintly not perfect but would make a great light restoration project or weekend driver. Email for more info. Please note: I don't need to sell , lowball offers will get no response. Located North End of Camano, 1-hour drive from Seattle. Thanks for looking. |
Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
Nice rig! "Kept inside" should mean that the bed wood is good, imo.

72 K20 $18,500. Another work truck thats not mine. This one has the same compartment layout on both sides of the box. The ad says factory service box, but it's not listed on the SPID. Wouldn’t it show as a cab chassis?
If my old man was still around he wouldn't believe the price. I would bet it's 10 times what he paid for his back in the day. https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...504587984.html Factory service body truck with original paint! Nice patina. Truck is a 4x4 transfer tank works great. Runs and drives could use a tune up, has been a farm truck. Possibly open to trades |

I really like the look of this truck. I wish it didn't have speakers in the door panels, but I guess that's better than in the doors themselves.
