Got some woodworking projects out of the way. Determined that the fill tube from the wrecking yard probably will not work without modification and it has a lot of plastic parts that may not stand up to cutting and welding.

I finished adding stiffeners to my floor and welded a small section in the middle of the toe board to the floor. i added stiffeners for the stock e-brake mount because it cracked the stock floor. and made one for the passenger side because i removed the lip where the stock toe board meets the floor. The rest will come off when I get some room.

I drove mine home - I keep it in my warehouse at work as the home garage isnt really big enough to spread out in.

Have a supply of poormans dynamat and will start putting that in the truck tonight, and will try to sort out some issues with my "Chinese River" steering column while Im working in there.

I got my condenser mounted and my X brace back in. I put the condenser as far in toward the radiator as the hard lines would allow, and made some one inch spacers for the top of the X brace and 3/4 inch spacers for the bottom, and bolted it back in. I'll have to move the radiator back slightly to clear the condenser but I have plenty of room since my truck was originally a six.

If you are installing a vintage Air setup like this don't go by the template that they supply to cut the holes for the lines. Get the condenser mounted first and then see where the holes need to be. Mine don't match the template.

Thanks, Chuck. It took me a lot longer than it should have because I got disgusted with it a couple of times and quit on it for a while. I thought it should have fit up better than it did since it's all Vintage Air stuff. They are sending me some rubber grommets to go in the holes so I can't do anything more until I get those. Their tech support folks are friendly and nice to deal with though.

Wraped my headers, put boots on the plug wires, made new metal bases for the electric bucket seats, did a test drive to see if the new u-joints would vibrate, the engine temp went down from 215 to 185/190, and all is well.

I discovered that the bell housing I was going to use is a buick(starter on the right) i need one with the starter on the left. So it looks like i get to swap it for the one in my jeep.
