Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Cleaned up the 57 so I can deliver it. It was covered with overspray, and looked like crap. Looks like I just finished it again. Next is the engine compartment. The 454 will look great again too. :metal:

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Looks great. What are you using to clean?
|
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I pressure washed it up on the rack, and wiped it down. Then masked everything off and repainted the parts that had overspray. Which was a lot. Like the rear springs, parts of the frame, and even the rear end. :uhmk:

The taillights on your truck are really coming in nice!
Are you going to be adding side markers, and if so, what kind? |

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
how come just about all of the pictures have such a busy background. it is quite hard to really see what is there esp that one black one in his garage with a black hood and other things behind it. should have a nice clean simple backdrop with out crap sticking out from every which where. now if they were boob pictures, they would quite visible and defined!

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Hey Chris, I've been busy on everybody's stuff but mine. I'm trying to cut down on work so I can do mine. I'm trying to retire, but it's not working. :uhmk:
After the 67 C-10 I'm doing I have a 38 Packard coming in for complete air bag job. Then have a 50 Chevy truck with a S-10 frame conversion. After that I'm not taking any more jobs in. I will have just my 65 Truck and a good friends 40 Ford Woody to finish a frame off restoration. No hurry on that one. ;) |

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
somehow hearing others talking about some of these healthproblems make me feel like i havent got it as bad as others have to live
age hands you things you realy dont want or where tinking of when you where young and invinceable and theres no choice in it hope everyone will mysteriously heal overnight and live without pain , but have as little chance of having it come treu as for my lottery ticket to reap 30.000.000.000 euro's today theres still hope though : i hope everyone has an awesome midnight and a great new year |
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I hope you all have a Great 2015 and not do this. I know I'm going to try better. :haha:

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Similar build plan as mine Dennis... don't be so hard on yourself. . It happens
|
Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
my schedule keeps a straight line right around zero done for about 4 years sofar
dunno wat is the better line i did bought an engine for the project though , its being delivered tomorrow (yahoo) you guys are going to laugh : its a jaguar AJ6 6 inline and its going intoo a 1978 chevrolet c10 planning on buying the jaguar 4L80E transmission too its an odd ball engine but it wil make more power out of the box than a chevy inline 6 will make hotrodded to the hilt besides the jag engine cost about a 10th of the price of a used chevy unit were i live all aluminium block and head , steel crank . 3.6 liter . 24 valve . twin overhead cam . fuelinjection the engine doesnt take as mush space as the pickup so the first part of the project will be to get it running on a teststand with a megasquirt 2 setup |

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Cool engine.. however... I disagree on the Jag engine being superior to the standard GM inline. However again... you gotta use what ya got.. :-)
