Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
We have sun shine and cool weather, the coolest in a long time for August.
My wife and went for a walk and then for a swim this after noon. The water is very cool and the water level is very high in the lake for this time of year. No complaints from me. Always good to hear you are getting in some truck time. |
Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
Forty plus days of 90s. Stupid humidity and rain almost every afternoon. Must be one of the hottest summers I can recall. It's supposed to cool down to the 80s the first part of the week and back to the 90s.

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
I think you gave us the hot weather brotha...been over 100 here the past few days. Monday was around 105! lol :chevy:

I like the push but we have a lot of important distractions... make it or not, we sure will get alot done under the gun. push on my friend... |

Only one day off this week, so here's a small update, but an update nonetheless!!! A few more steps forward...;) I started the day out planning to finally bleed brakes and clutch... planning to being the key...:sumo: After getting the truck off all four wheels, I decided to tackle a few smaller jobs first... Of course, once I was in the middle of mounting and wiring the taillights... Life stepped in and delayed plans to bleed the above mentioned systems...:banghead: Once I had the Spare Tire Carrier mounted, I snapped this for Bomp's selfie thread... it'll get there eventually... https://c5.staticflickr.com/9/8385/2...0b42af76_c.jpgUntitled by Donald Olivo, on Flickr Here's the Spare mount... https://c3.staticflickr.com/9/8356/2...c28b213d_c.jpgUntitled by Donald Olivo, on Flickr https://c5.staticflickr.com/8/7479/2...45fbcb97_c.jpgUntitled by Donald Olivo, on Flickr https://c2.staticflickr.com/9/8336/2...0e1453f3_c.jpgUntitled by Donald Olivo, on Flickr I then mounted the Taillights, Tailgate, and Rear Bumper... https://c2.staticflickr.com/9/8137/2...73743801_c.jpgUntitled by Donald Olivo, on Flickr https://c4.staticflickr.com/9/8852/2...a028d845_c.jpgUntitled by Donald Olivo, on Flickr Finally, Here's a Side shot from earlier today... https://c7.staticflickr.com/8/7723/2...0aac87d8_c.jpgUntitled by Donald Olivo, on Flickr A local friend has some drop springs for the rear that I'm contemplating grabbing to drop the back a bit more...:D Still need to mount and wire the License Plate Bracket then, other than paint and bed floor, the rear will be complete...;) Laterz... |
Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
More progress! :metal:
|
Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
It was pointed out to me once long ago that without life in the way what good would these trucks be.
Then I had to drop everything and do Honey Do's. Sometimes when there is a long gap on truck time the truck time is even more rewarding. Diggin' the progress you're making even with the limited truck time. |
Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
It is coming together no matter how long it takes.
Really nice progress. |
Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
Looking great Don! Can't wait to see it rolling down the highway.

Spent yesterday and today bleeding clutch and brakes, hanging doors and attempting to spend some quality time with the Mrs. during my 2 days off...:uhmk: Enough of the typing... Enjoy because I sure enjoyed driving the stepper around instead of pushing it...:metal: My friend was shooting the video so there's a bit of a delay while I was coming back up the road...:ito: https://youtu.be/oZgBLftGXf0 Here's a shot from early this morning... Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...
Yesterday after work I got the glass installed in the doors, and today was spent getting the doors buttoned up and the front sheetmetal on... :metal:
Thanks to a friend and his son, the sheetmetal was fairly quick and easy... For anyone who's followed along, or even just looked in, the Stepper hasn't looked this complete since the day after it arrived in my driveway in April of 2012...:bann: On to the pics...
