When I started this build I thought to myself. This parts only cost a few dollars new so I will replace it. Well a hundred parts well you do the math.

Today, I installed my heat shield insulation. I still got to install my floor sound deadener. I probably got ahead of myself. But what the hey. At least I did something on the old girl instead of setting on the couch. One day this week I want to install the intake and distributor and wires. Maybe the valve covers Maybe.

Today I installed the carrier bearing bracket.

Then I installed the drive shaft. It looks like I will kave to do some sanding on the driveshaft. It has two rings on the tube from the vise. I even had a towel wraped around the tube. But still it came thru as you can see.

tomorrow I hope to install the wiper arms and the cowl.
made a appointment with the welding shop for the hood metal. I was going to get another hood. But metal is cheap and labor is free.

Didn't do anything on the truck today. It rained and just couldn't get myself movatived enough to get outside. But who knows maybe tomorrow. Going to pick up my Alt and top radiator hose tomorrow. I also need to find my speed-ometer cable and install it.

Re: 1968

Today I recieved some parts. They came from All America Billet. A set of metal chrome door locks and a set of metal chrome visor clips. They look sweet. And the best part is that they will never wear out for they are metal.
A top radiator hose and a Alt. Now I can get the engine all button up. The edelbrock intake and the Edelbrock valve covers and the distributor and wires. along with the Alt and hose. One step at a time.

I will post pictures of the rest Monday.
Their are some really nice guys on this board. LockDoc is sending me the clip for the wiper arms. Way to go lockDoc and thanks a lot.

Today I was rummaging through my parts and I found a fiberglass glove box. It looks like someone applied fiberglass to the paper box and pulled the paper off. so I cleaned it up and painted it gloss black. I didn't like the gloss paint so I went with flat and it looks a lot better.

It has a small crack in the top of the fiberglass but that is never seen.

That's pretty cool! I been doing ok, just working, and getting ready to move, so no truck time for a bit, but watching your progress helps me feel better!

I need the water outlet for the edelbrock intake. Does anyone know if it is the standard fitting for all the intakes?

Tomorrow I hope to install the edelbrock intake on the engine. There's nothing to stop me from doing so except motovation. I also want to install the HEI distributor and wires.
If I have enough time I will mount the alt and top radiator hose.
