Man, some of us are getting old. I was looking at those Chevy dump trucks and thinking mine is too new to show. Then I realized the title to this truck is 29 years old. The reason I say title, it is in it's third incarnation since I bought it. The only thing left of the original 91 Kodiak I bought is the left fuel tank and the frame rails. 3126 Caterpillar with a 9 speed.

Overloaded and oversized. No "wide load" banners or proper escort vehicles. Harvesting is a big part of that economy so I'm sure the Po Po look the other way. And all the locals know how to act when they see one coming. That's an old practice now that combines got so much bigger. Around here with smaller tracts, the combines get driven farm to farm, usually with a pickup leading with 4-ways on, getting people to pull over when needed.
This whole show truck pictures thing is getting old. Real old (with a touch of new) |

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
I never knew those Diamond Ts had fiberglass cabs. That Diamond T wrecker hoisting the two 1 tons is just like the tractor my buddy's dad had to pull the lowboy for his loader. I remember we would hop up and bleed the air down in the evenings.

I love the part of the ad that says "If damage should occur, it can be repaired quickly, and easily, and at very low cost.".
Every Corvette owner in the world wishes that were true. |

Here is an old one I don't recognize.
Plus a second photo of what looks to be the same kind of truck. Looks like it says Bigge on the front, which is cool as they are still in business today. We do work with them from time to time. They seem to specialize in heavy lift work. |
