Re: My 1965 build thread
Good score Alan. When I go down to SC in Aug i'm going to have to stop buy and see your truck in person, and 198's truck. I've been chopping up the frame of my truck to build the back. I'm like you Alan I got a second job, 66 galaxy 500. He wants the frame and motor built, so extra money for the truck!

[QUOTE=Alan's Classic;3371118] I call our equipment salesman and he said to run AW32 hydraulic. What do ya'll know about it.
I was just rousting you a little to see if your awake. He's right. You should use Hydraulic Fluid. It doesn't create foam. |

Got the shop cleaned up today and rolled the truck out in the sun for the first time. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...b/DSC00307.jpg http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...b/DSC00308.jpg http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...b/DSC00311.jpg Got the parts truck in and pulled the cab. It had some extra weight in it (column, glass, heater, clutch linkage etc) which threw off the balance, but it worked fine. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...b/DSC00303.jpg http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...b/DSC00304.jpg http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...b/DSC00305.jpg This rearend has about 20 feet on it and decided to start leaking. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...y/DSC00313.jpg I decided to just give these hoods away. I had to move them out of the shop. I don't have any plans for them. Thought I could help someone out. They need work, but might be better than what you have. I will list in for sale section under Various parts for sale in my link. http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...1/DSC00302.jpg |
Re: My 1965 build thread

Re: My 1965 build thread

the truck looks great |
Re: My 1965 build thread
Of course that is also the drawback, that smooth of a paintjob and everyyyyy body wants to touch it (with their sticky, greasy little fingers ;-)
|
Re: My 1965 build thread
Dont know if your still dealing with the headers but mine are from a 72 4wd blazer. They fit all the way around...i had to hammer tune one little spot over the engine mount

Re: My 1965 build thread
[QUOTE=Alan's Classic;3372109]Right now I'm wishing I was up where you are. It's 100 with 150% humidity. Trying to clean the shop out and it looks like I'm washing down the floor from sweat dripping off of me.
Man it reached about 110 yesterday with ridiculous humidity. We could only pull off 3 hours in the shop even with a fridge full of water. |
