Very nice Russ! Great job. Time to sit back and enjoy. Of course we all know they are never done.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks

Thanks all! I have definitely been enjoying it. Took it to work today and it drove great. It tracks straight and sounds awesome. I can't wait to get 500 miles done so I can step into it. I feel like I have lots of pedal to enjoy.

I also agree with never being done. I have a big list of things to do to get it more road worthy (find out why the dash lights aren't working anymore, for one). At least I can drive it and work on it at the same time. I'll sleep better now!

Im brand new to this site, so here is a pick of my old girl. Originally a Washington state forest service truck, my grandfather bought it in 1978, and abused it for many years, until his passing in 1991, at which time I inherited the truck at age 15. This is the 3rd paint job, and will soon be torn down for a frame off restoration....maybe even a crew cab conversion so I can fit the whole family in there!

My wife thinks its a stupid idea. She tells me "it wont even be your grandfathers truck anymore". Shes right......its MY truck, and fitting my wife and two boys in the truck with me is important, so who cares. Its better than buying a new truck to haul the family, while my other one just sits around.....which is what she wants!

Here's my truck from North of the 49th.

She started her life back in 1970 in the City of Fremont CA. Fremont was chaotic in those days and she longed for a small town.

During her teen years she ventured East to sunny and dry Utah, spending time with various owners across the State until settling in Filmore where she lived happily for many years enjoying mud baths and tune ups.

Later in life she seems to have become an organ donor ( or reciever?!) with many changes and replacements, even going as far as a face lift and telling others she wasn't made until 1972!

I came to be her current owner through the happen stance of a small town classified ad...called ebay.

With many years, memories and expenses ahead of us, we are sure to have a wonderful time.
Thanks, CanadaK20.

Im liking this more and more! If anyone has any good pics of a finished crew cab on a 4wd with a lift kit, I would love to see them! My wife is very visual, and I think if she saw one like mine that was finished, then she would be on board with the idea.
thanks

Here's the first pic of my project. 1967 C10 shortbed, fleetside, small window, wood bed. It's been sitting in garages slowly being worked on for the past 20 or so years. No one really got very far but at least it saved it from rust.Just starting the body off resto at this point.

Well, well, well! A fellow Ne/ metro area member. That's a good looking '67. It look a little like mine, but mine's not as nice. I'd put money on it.

I love the yellow color too... Reminds me though of a '65 Vette a guy on the SPI forum did. He used 'Buff' 2k Primer for basecoat and then cleared it. Easy !!
