Awesome hub. Thanks for the info phillip! Pictures, and what im doing for my art project, the lil fellers name is chevrolet because he has 350 pushrods for arms, I was going to incorporate the rocker arm but it was too big, it was sorta fun actually (it was due today but ive been putting it off and forgetting to do it). Today was a good day :lol:

Trucks been runnin like crap, gotta set of plug wires and a 1406 electric choke 600cfm im going to rebuild (not touch adj.) only re set the float/float drop hopefully that and new wires (current ones are old as the hills) make it run better. Its running really rich I smell gas when I start it, wanna save my pennies for a cam swap and 1 piece pan gasket/new rear main maybe?,,

Gettin' more clips tomorow from carquest (they ordered wrong ones) and sometime maybe i'll get my tach dash back together (its in a box) i have like 4 projects going right now 1 isnt even mine its my buddys four wheeler he is pressed on having it done by this weekend so he can ride it haha

Checked float levels/drop today, re set all that. Swapped bottom bowl out for a 1406 (electric choke) because I had tinkered abit with the adj.

It starts like crap ask hubscrub lol, sometimes worse than others? I guess its the timing/A/F screws? There about 1 3/4 turns out, I may try'n save for a vacumn guage to tune them by?

I dunno I really dont trust anyone, and the people that tell me they know how to make it run/start better, dont make it any better?

Uh.I also picked up some trim clips for some more trim intallation, well the driver door is out of alignment so much that when I opened the door it 'tried' to peel the trim off the door. I tried to pull the door back to adj it but i couldnt get it... :(

So I wasted abunch of time in the shop..lol

puttin new plug wires on tomorow maybe that helps (current wires are OLD) will double check the routing as well.

I'll check it the timing when it starts again..I can only check initial, i have the basic light, I have to borrow the adj. one

I swapped bowls to a 1406 and it ran better started the same (starting has gotten progressively worse)

Good ground good battery good connections power to solenoid (purple wire)

when i turn key to START the brake/temp light comes on (red idiot light cluster)

are we talking about a firing problem... or a more of a slow spin problem?
too much advance will make it harder to start/fire.
