Thats awesome! If it actually has the motor and tranny that match that emblem that would be 2006 and up. I bet its mean with any duramax and allison.

So this Burb turns up at the local Chevy dealer cruise in, here in town. The owner purchased it from Montana just as you said.

Its a Burb body on a 2006 Chevy 4 wheel drive chassis, DuroMax diesel and Allison trans. The dash gauges were also moved over into a new designed dash.

I just marvel at what it took to accomplish this....

I found this 1963 Chevy 4 wheek drive at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in Orange County this past weekend. It sold on Sunday for $33,000.

My Dads 66.Rednose maybe you have seen it at a carshow before? He bought it in 67 and was a work truck for many many years before sitting in the back yard for 15 years. We did a frame off resto/mod. The motor/trans is my work. This is my fave picture because he won best motor in the Dallas SEMA show.

Thanks, I will see about scanning some of the build and pictures from way back in the day. We have pictures from the 70s to present. It was a real junker at one time.

yeah, i like that yellow too...this is one of those where the only thing i really don't care for is the wheels....nice truck though:metal:

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

I believe it is 'Zinc yellow' ..has a green tint to it..it really glows, Extreme auto body in Grand Prairie TX gets credit there. Here is a picture when it had the holleys and a 'bird catcher'. lots of changes since this shot.
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...s/scan0001.jpg
Also notice the wheels..I liked these MUCH MUCH better but we had a weeee bit too much power for stock wheel studs and you would not believe a couple of a$$h()les stopped picked the right rear wheel/tire up and burnt off in a Ford truck with a virgin mary on the back glass and tires stuck out really far all the way around:ito: before my dad could even slide to the side of the road..true story. We tryed to find another matching wheel with no luck.He chose the new wheels, not my taste either..I am more old school myself.
My Dad bought a metal 4in cowl and since the hood had already been cut for the scoop we had it molded into it..they cut it out so it is all open under scoop and also reiforced it.
I only have one crappy pix of the interior..like I said I will get more as I am going over this weekend to work on a Edsel they are fixing up.
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x...1111111111.jpg
Thanks for the compliments i am very proud, my earliest memories are of Dad coming home in this truck.:chevy:
