Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Nice Blazer, not quite my wheel choice up here in the Great white north with our crappy roads but would work well in the city, how tall are the tires w a 9" lift.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
This just proves that these Blazers look fantastic with just about any wheels on them. In 1993 I mounted some Dick Cepeks on a square body with an TPI Vette engine. They were almost two foot wide. I had to balance them on the big rig balancer. Wouldn't even fit on the passenger vehicle version. I bet these wheels needed some special attention too. Wonder how it drives.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Thanks for sharing more, nice clean engine install and looks good hocked to the other truck. Nothing like a 67-72 body style for me, like all the others and even have a 73 square but the 71 I have just makes me smile, especially a 4wd,

Here's my '72 I've taken 16 years to not restore. Only engine swap is the original 350 I rebuilt in '91 for a '72 K/20 I had. Stuck it in this truck in '04. Runs great!!

It's so nice to see the 67-72 K trucks, my favourite 4x4 of all time and then the Blazer/Jimmy next.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
It's cool to have the kids involved, I taught both our twin girls to drive a standard with my 71 K10 with 530hp, took a bit but once they caught on could drive anything newer with ease.

Finally found a 3 door! Been looking for one for quite a while. Its got typical wheel well rust in the rear as well as the passenger side rockers are really bad. Going to daily drive this one as soon as i fix the transmission. Only reason i could afford it is because reverse is gone! Heading to grab a transmission for it tomorrow! I was going to rebuild the original myself, but found one on craigslist that was rebuilt and never used cheaper than i could buy the rebuild parts. :metal:
Eventually i would like to lift it a bit with some bigger tires. For now, just going to install my hand controls, fix the transmission, and make the heat work a bit better! |
