Chipping away at finishing my interior:
  • Painted seat risers
  • Camaro Dash: Glove Box: Assembled liner, installed light and wiring, installed door. Ash Tray: installed tray support and tray,
  • Finished modifying stock wiring harness for new gauges,
  • Installed sending unit for oil pressure. I had to use an 1/8" pipe nipple, coupling a street elbow to get the AutoMeter sending unit to fit.

That is going to look so cool. Can't wait to see it put together. I'm envious of having a dash that comes out. That has to make it so much easier to work on everything.

Thanks Mark.

I am using disconnects on all electrical connections too which will enable future removal of the dash without cutting any wires.

Thanks but I wish they were not so expensive you're looking at 3 months of mad money, $235 w/shipping. And I needed 5, I could only buy 4 as a set according to several of the places, which in my opinion was B/S but I needed them anyway. I found a real good one for the bed spare on eBay.

The lettering turned out real nice. I imagine that took a fair amount of effort.

Ordered a pair of vintage style emblems to add to my fog lights, similar to the ones on the spotlights. I’m probably the only person on the planet that will ever notice the difference, but the lamps look too new without them.

Lets see, over the past week or so I put on the 60 GMC grill, new radiator, new heater core, put in new seats, new steering wheel, new shifter, fixed drivers side window, removed the 6 and installed an 8 with new transmission, made an exhaust, installed new springs in the rear... Now I need to install front springs, and put on mufflers when they show up tomorrow.. then I can drive her again

Made new wiring harnesses for Primary and Secondary Gauge Panels: Power-Ground-Lighting.

Reinstalled (for the last time?) the Camaro Dash.

Installed Wiper / Light / Heater & Ignition Switches.

Hooked up the battery, turned the key and everything worked!

Pretty stoked at how this is looking with the new paint (I still need to paint inside of doors). It's been a long time getting this modification to this point, but I love it when a plan comes together.

I think this is the first day I have spent working on the truck where I wasn't filthy dirty at the end of the day.

Picked up a permit for test drive. Went for a drive first time since engine rebuild adjust timing on the road, ran beautifully. Will take it to Port Fairy rod run about 100 klms from home on sunday. Then I,ll sort out to get it registered this month:metal:

Make a wooden dash rail that bolts to top and side, then cover it with black vinyl to match seats. That's what I did on my '31.

Completed the bed wood kit for my '65 Fleetside (oak). I sanded them with 100, then 220, then five coats of Minwax Helmsman (sanding between coats with 220). Then I water sanded them with 1500, then 2500 and then buffed them out. They look awesome...if I must say so myself. Pictures to follow.

Picked up the seat from the shop this morning, The small lines/wrinkles at the top will fade out after she been used a bit.

I'll post some pictures of the new 'bolter on the seat later.

The tan seat was the '39 DeSota he's finishing up, SWEET.

That seat turned out beautiful. Your grandson seems a bit confused by it though! Always loved the 39 Dodge and DeSoto body style. Real art deco. From what can be seen it looks fantastic.
