Changed out the open chamber spacer to the correct carb spacer. Trucks runs better and seat of the pants feel has more power. Before I buttoned it up I had to flip the new spacer over to get full secondaries

Changing gear oil at 500 miles. Tweaked the cover trying to get it off (was well sealed!) waiting on a new cover to refill it again.

Small progress on Saturday. Had to do an oil change in my daughters car and some other routine maintenance on the rest of the fleet.

F I N A L L Y got the windshield installed in my truck. Had a hard time finding anyone to do it due to the age. I finally found someone and they had a guy come out who didn't know what he was doing and bent up my stainless trim. I got some more trim and polished it up. The owner of the company kept calling me and apologizing and promising to make it right but he kept having one calamity after another (not sure they were legit reasons but...). Finally he gets a guy he uses to come out supposedly Friday then Saturday and finally he shows up today and does a great job and is done in less than an hour. Amazing when someone knows what they are doing.

Installed the 6 cyl. single exhaust kit from LMC. Down pipe is a tad long, and tail pipe a tad short for me, but in all a huge improvement over what I had. Got the turbo muffler. Has a nice little tone to it. Rattle canned the wheels, and did a paint pen makeover on the caps. She’s good from far, and far from good.

Thanks Jiggers - I didn't think I'd get them for under $150.00. There was one bider that came in early and there were a number of watchers. But I was the only one that popped in near the end and the 1st bider I beat out on my 1st bid. Hoping to get them by Saturday but the seller is on the road and won't get them into the post until Wednesday.

Got some bed rails from To Much Stuff on the way too but those need a little clean up (also bought hardware kit and wood decals off eBay). With the Bumpers and Rails installed, I think the truck will look snappy. Very excited for these add-ons :-) :uhmk:

Painted up some steel wheels, polished and painted some hubcaps to mimic '68 doggy caps, new tires and installed on the truck.

Nobody made the original seat covers, so I got the original material from SMS Auto Fabrics in Canby, Oregon. Took pictures of the original style and had my upholsterer do it.

Front bumpers received and installed. But they didn’t come with the bottom brace - I don’t think they’ll move.

Edit:
Forgot to add, I had to cut out notches on my shop table at the bottom. My garage door bracket was going to scrape my back bumper. Now after notching my shop table, I have like 1/4 inch between the garage door bracket and the back bumper! I really need a SWB Truck, LOL!

Didn't think to post this 2 weeks ago but my truck got all new tires, Hankook Dynapro HT RH12 LT235/75R15 6 ply load range C. I like them.

I guess I'm slacking here. Back on July 31, I got a new carb for the old 250. It didn't run spot on right out of the box & my schedule has been super tight. Got around to tuning on it last week & took it down the road for a quick spin. I was most pleased. Friday, I got the plates renewed for the year. Wait, did I do some of those steps out of sequence? Lol.

Got my drivers side door glass installed along with the door panel. I still have to put in the door fuzzies but I have to trim them a little bit and ran out of gas.

Passenger side next weekend! ??

Didn't do it today but yesterday.Was planning on taking my C10 to our Annual Big Event Car Show yesterday afternoon. Bought my TT2's and new tires in July and had them mounted and balanced and were sitting waiting. Had a few hours to kill before the Show so got my ass in gear went and picked them up at my storage garage and installed them. Glad I did. Before and after pics.

After years of agonizing over whether to lower or not, I've decided to and have bought the parts and am waiting for the fellow I want to intall them can get to my truck. I am using a 2 1/2 drop spindle in front and a 4 inch rear drop coil with rear shock relocators and adjustable panhard bar. Thinking it should bring the truck down enough that'll work well with the 17's.

IMO that is the best drop for these trucks. It will look good, and still ride normal and not have any rubbing or riding on the bump stops.

After a lot of soul searching, looking, and anguish, this was exactly the setup I went with. While I stuck with six lug and 15's if you are going 5 lug with some 17's they should fill up the fender openings very nicely.

I went ahead and done it all why I had it all apart. New bushings, shocks, tie rods, lower A arm u bolt upgrade, etc. I was doing a disc conversion as well so all new brake lines, etc. as well.

I was at the same place as you.....did the 2.5 spindle front and 4" in the rear.
The rear was still to high so added a 1" lowering block and ended up with this.

Yes, your info and the look of your truck helped me to finally make a decision. Dont like the "In the Weeds " look and feel the when you go to the 17's -18's on the trucks they need to go down a bit.

Polished and installed the mirrors and working on the windwing window gaskets, what a pain. Still looking for the rear upper molding, NOS. One straight one out of five that I've bought. Last two UPS delivered were damaged, both ends blowned out.
