Looks good! I'm about to order the porterbuilt touring coil over dropmember. Is that what you have on the front and rear? That looks lowwwww :) have any side profile pics???

That is what I have. Only pix are the ones I have on here. When I get the wheels and tires mounted, I will take some at ride height.

Are you still running the 6 lug or did you convert to 5? I am doing the C6 ZO6 brake conversion on mine with 5x.4.75 bolt pattern and plan on running a zo6 offset wheel (to match my Z) does it look like your grand sport wheels would fit ok in your fenders or do you think it would need spacers?

I just love the looks of all that Porterbuilt engineering. Your truck is coming along beautifully. And that floor hump install does indeed look factory. Nice work!

I am running 5on5 axles now. My Grand Sport wheels backspacing doesn''t even look close, but they are 12" wide rears also. The wheel hub is much closer to the outside of the wheel. I have seen one 60-66 truck running them though. He must have run spacers I'm guessing.

Talked to UPS customer service today. My 22" rear wheels are stuck in Jersey at the UPS hub due to hurricane Sandy. UPS place there is open with a skeleton crew as very few of the workers are showing up due to the storm. They really got hammered hard. She said maybe by the end of next week I'll get the wheels.

I've seen a guy running base C6 wheels and he had to use 4" spacers on the rear and 3" on the front...crazy..

I ended up getting the 22's for the rear from Coys and got the Nittos mounted on them. Still waiting on the replacement 20's for the front.

The replacement 20's have not showed up yet. I got working on the new rear wheel wells. I wanted the wells to go all the way to the inside edge of the fleetside panels and as I raised the floor up 5-1/2" I figured the way I wanted to do it would be to make a wider set and trim the outer edge to match the panel. I used two OEM sets both which were rust free and had OG paint too.

Worked on the truck some more. Alot of the progress doesn't really show in the pictures anyway I'll post a bunch. I got the steering linkage roughed in and it will work with two joints. I am relieving the frame some and will reinforce it with some tubing in that area once the motor comes out. I also have replaced both front bed sills with 2x3 tubing and fooled with the rear wheel wells some more. I also have the motor 3/4" lower now as shown in one picture:

Pictures of the driveshaft clearance to the sills are with the coilovers removed and the rear end housing tubes hard up against the bump stops.

Thanks. I voted for your truck on Chevy Talk calendar contest today. My 62 Impala SS got second last year and was the month of February. I thought that was cool as the car and me both turned 50 and February was my birthday month.

I like your build. Are you going to leave the exterior alone?
