You can see what we did to the V6 shroud to fit. That fan moves about 3600CFM on max PWM setting. Should keep this truck very cool.

Been horrible at uploading pics lately. Decided to fill more of the firewall. got rid of the clutch pedal hole and a few others. converted the 8speed from a camaro style tail shaft to a truck slip yoke. Started laying out the Speartech harness. so far its falling into place.

Coming along nice. Amazing how easy it is to change the tail shafts on these 8 speeds. Keep up the progress.

Nice progress. Where did you get your bed? Looks like it is made well.

Hey 62 the bed is Mar-k but I saved a lot by ordering through Summit. I was able to order it without stake pockets and hidden latches on the tailgate

Been slowly picking away at the truck but its been freezing in my garage. I relocated my battery box from under the bed to the passenger side under the cab. I haven't decided if im going to run remote terminals to the engine bay or rear of the truck.

TMI seats along with a bench bracket has been ordered through summit. $1400 shipped. Looks like March before I will see them.

Had to modified the AC bracket we made to get clearance for the AC lines.

Currently working on plumbing the existing hydroboost to the new engine and vette rack

Great progress. I ran my remote terminals to the right inner fender. Super convenient, I can change or disconnect my battery from the fender well. Don’t even need to open the hood! You can see it on page 11 post #269.

Spent $340 on AN fittings today for my hydroboost/steering and trans lines. Its gonna be a little while before I can sit down comfortably.... :waah:

Made some progress this weekend. Got all the steering components back in. started building my trans cooler lines. Looks like it will be another 5 weeks before my seats are in. Hoping to get my drive shaft made and exhaust done next.

You’re making excellent progress! Where did you get that steering wheel? I still have to get one. I like it.

Re: 55 in NH build

Thanks Jason, Hoping to get most of the plumbing finished. Still deciding on how i'm going to route my my AC/heater lines.

A bunch of places sell that steering wheel. they seem to be all over the place in price but you can usually find them for a little over $300

Kevin, I just noticed something in your previous bed post that I recently made a mistake on. The front sill needs the 2 holes in the side (at each end) to face the front. These are where the step brackets bolt to, as I've learned.

Cheers, Jim

Re: 55 in NH build

Thanks Jim, I'll flip it around. I still have to order short bed steps so I hadn't installed the brackets yet.

wondering if you will need some heat shielding on those fancy new lines attached to the frame by the exhaust manifold.
looks great so far, keep posting your progress.

Dsraven I think I should have enough room but can add some if needed. I have just under 3.5". For the trans cooler lines I'm going to route the lines to the passenger side of the oil filter. Im just waiting for some new clamps to arrive. I think I will need to add some shielding for the wiring on the passenger side.

Speaking of those fancy lines.... They are bleeding me dry. I decided to pull the intake manifold and run a 180 fuel line underneath instead of across the engine like factory. Cross threaded the 180 quick disconnect the first time, fat fingered and ordered the wrong fitting the second time. Third time I got the fuel line built and routed. Then I decided to "clean up" some welds on the frame and hit the line with the flap disc.......:waah: So I decided to order new line and fittings. I know they sell replacement olives but they are half the cost of the fittings and makes me nervous messing with fuel.

Drive shaft was measured today. Going to order some stainless for the exhaust.

Progress

Re: 55 in NH build

are those lines steel braid on the outside with nylon on the inside? if so, they don't like heat. also, you may think about insulating against abrasion anywhere they rub on othr stuff.
yup, that stuff aint cheap, it looks good though. I have fat fingered a few times as well.

Re: 55 in NH build

ya its all 6AN PTFE hose. On the fuel line it also has the added black sheathing I had some more double T clamps arrive today. anywhere it makes contact I've been placing a section of rubber hose over it.
