Wish I could just win the lotto. The guy said measure from the bearing holes to the center of the I joint. Which I did but he made the hole shaft a the full length. BAd thing is I have to leave early to take care of things like this

Are you kidding me? That is a huge miscalculation! Can you take it back to him and see if he will work with you?

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild

I see what he did he made the tube 38" without thinking the full rear piece needed to be 38".
I called and ask him how do you want me to measure this before taking it to you. He said measure from the tip of the tranny to the the center bearing which is 29". Then from the center of the bearing to the center of the yoke for the rear. Gave me 38" but the rear is 45

I would take that to the guy and show him and find out what went wrong. Did he make the drive shaft to your measurements?

Well it's just money, right? Now let's see them pics. On a side note Jim came by with Vic today to my work. My mom found this truck for $500 in a garage at a garage sale, I was planning on looking at it myself but of course Jim got wind and wanted to go look at it. I told him where it was but we will see if he buys it. It is supposed to be a 62 short step complete but torn apart. What do you think of all that? Here is a pic my mom snapped.
