Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Looks good! I'm about to order the porterbuilt touring coil over dropmember. Is that what you have on the front and rear? That looks lowwwww :) have any side profile pics???

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
That is what I have. Only pix are the ones I have on here. When I get the wheels and tires mounted, I will take some at ride height.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Are you still running the 6 lug or did you convert to 5? I am doing the C6 ZO6 brake conversion on mine with 5x.4.75 bolt pattern and plan on running a zo6 offset wheel (to match my Z) does it look like your grand sport wheels would fit ok in your fenders or do you think it would need spacers?

I just love the looks of all that Porterbuilt engineering. Your truck is coming along beautifully. And that floor hump install does indeed look factory. Nice work!

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Talked to UPS customer service today. My 22" rear wheels are stuck in Jersey at the UPS hub due to hurricane Sandy. UPS place there is open with a skeleton crew as very few of the workers are showing up due to the storm. They really got hammered hard. She said maybe by the end of next week I'll get the wheels.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
I ended up getting the 22's for the rear from Coys and got the Nittos mounted on them. Still waiting on the replacement 20's for the front.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
I'm still coming to get those rear wheel tubs, Honest

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
I got the 22's from Coy's
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...durgin/069.jpg The replacement 20's have not showed up yet. I got working on the new rear wheel wells. I wanted the wells to go all the way to the inside edge of the fleetside panels and as I raised the floor up 5-1/2" I figured the way I wanted to do it would be to make a wider set and trim the outer edge to match the panel. I used two OEM sets both which were rust free and had OG paint too. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...durgin/070.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...durgin/071.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...durgin/072.jpg |
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
wheels look nice against the black, & hopefully you'll get the 20's soon...great job on the wheel tubs as well!

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Worked on the truck some more. Alot of the progress doesn't really show in the pictures anyway I'll post a bunch. I got the steering linkage roughed in and it will work with two joints. I am relieving the frame some and will reinforce it with some tubing in that area once the motor comes out. I also have replaced both front bed sills with 2x3 tubing and fooled with the rear wheel wells some more. I also have the motor 3/4" lower now as shown in one picture:

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Truck is still sitting about 1/2" high in rear from ride height.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Pictures of the driveshaft clearance to the sills are with the coilovers removed and the rear end housing tubes hard up against the bump stops.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
I'm starting to get excited about the look of this truck with the static drop and the 22" Coy's wheels.

I like your build. Are you going to leave the exterior alone?
