I know, forgive me, but it's Don Knotts !! And I wouldn't say no to that truck either......

Yeah, I had some Dodge ads from when Don Knotts was in them. After all, he's a real Dude. I also had a '69 Dodge W200 Utiline (originally was a Sweptline) at one time. It was a great truck until you needed parts from Dodge. It was hard to get parts for it when it was 8-10 years old. One of the things that I went exclusively GM

Got my copy! We've mostly been showing covers of brochures. After showing all of that '68 fold-out I've realized this thread has a long way to go just with showing the content of ones already show. Time for me to hit the file cabinet and get the camera out. Then there are the Silver Books. Hmmm... maybe next winter when I'm stuck inside. Here's a quick one:
I thought. Same crap, I guess Windows 8 turns pictures how they want, because I edited any pictures I took oblong and rotated them vertical on my computer. I just went and rotated it sideways to see if that works. It would be nice if the computer would allow the photographer the choice of how they want to frame their pictures. That's what I've been doing for over 40 years! I had to change the name for it to post same picture twice. Never mind. Thanks to computers I have a whole new source of frustration. A whole new love/hate relationship. Right now it's hate. I hope you enjoy the duplicate sideways pictures! :cuss: |

Boy, has it been rainy around here. I had gathered my lits up, quite a stack, and was on my way to go scan at a friends when the heavens opened up! I had nothing but a thin white wife beater covering the lits. If that got wet it would be good as having nothing on at all. So, I turned back for the door just in time
EDIT: I have never had an issue with the computer changing my pictures sideways till these I just put on my computer last week. They have all been edited to be upright and the computer has other ideas. This sucks |

Re: Show Us Your Lits
Here's something you may find interesting.
The 1967 chevy truck brochures had all the pictures of trucks were drawings, while before and after years were actual photographs of trucks. Wierd. http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/brochure...=Chevy%20Truck |

I love that automotive art. Let's see if this gets altered, too.
EDIT: I tried two. This one went fine and it turned the other. I'll put these on Photobucket so you can save your neck for eating tacos |

Re: Show Us Your Lits
That's some great stuff! I have that '71 Campers & Rec Vehicle dealer poster. The guy had all of them but I only had enough cash for one. My buddy who steered me to the guy had bought the one with light trucks already.

Here are some of my 1967 Canadian GMC literature pieces. I have a French and English dealer pamphlet and a nice 67 gmc fold out that is double sided.

Re: Show Us Your Lits
I missed these. Way cool! I'm to the point where my collection needs to be filled in the Canadian brochures. I have about all the US ones, but just a handful of Canadian

Re: Show Us Your Lits
I love looking at these old ads and thought I'd revive this thread with a cool site I found that has high quality scans of quite a few ads from each year. I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but thought it would be nice to share for anyone who hasn't seen it yet: paintref.com

Picked this up at a car show today. Supposedly an original. You can see in the picture there's a dealer stamp on the front. One of the staples is a tiny bit rusty on the inside so maybe it is an original. I don't know how else to tell?? It is in very good condition. One thing I liked about it is the dealer stamping is Daniels Motors Inc. and my father, son and I are all named Daniel.
