Re: Show us your projects
Here's my freebie project truck-
http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/u...-2_11-6-05.jpg I've had it for about 5yrs and it was a freebie, all I had to do was to drag it out of field, get rid of the wasp nests and deal with the paperwork-or the lack of... It's complete and runs and has an early 60's 283 engine and (I think) 4spd saginaw trans. 1955 1/2ton, big window shortbed with a 58-59 fleetside bed. Been doing a lot research and trying to come up with a game plan for it, so for now, I plan on power disc brake conversion, rebuild the front end and when I got the $$, get a dropped axle by Sid, tilt column & power steering, a complete re-wire and relocate the fuel tank behind the axle. That should keep me busy for awhile..;) Here's a couple more shots- http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/u...Picture196.jpg http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/u...t_8/283v-8.jpg http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/u...0TFTruck-1.jpg The OD is getting ready to roll over to all zeros, kinda cool. http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/u...verto00000.jpg http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu257/Planet_8/ |

Here's a couple i've got going on.
Almost got the '53 road worthy!!!:chevy: Its got a Camaro front stub, 355 with a mild cam, headers, Flowmasters, turbo 350 with a 2500 stall and some .373 gears out back. I've gotta get the door glass in, wood in the bed and the tranny cover installed on the inside and its ready to cruise...... Well other than getting the hood, running boards, and tailgate primed and painted but that's little stuff right?!?!?;) The other is a '50 i've been playing around with. Maybe kinda rat rod style or something. It was a parts truck for the '53 but I thought it still had potenial so I started playin with it too. May turn into something, who knows?!?!?:burnout: |
