Looking good! Any way I can get a better pic of where you cut the inside of the cab for the trailing arm crossmember? Keep up the progress!

Gracias Amigos...

Tony, it is not a trailing arm setup, it is four link, all I had to cut the cab floor for was the trans support crossmember and the yoke coming out of the trans.

Got it ready to fire but I still need the stuff to convert my oil pressure sender so I can read oil pressure. Hope to get that stuff Wed or Thurs. I don't want to start it if I can't see oil pressure.

She's a little tight there at the #8 coil.

Shot of the '72 next to my "daily"

Thanks guys

Got lucky and scored at the salvage yard, found a nice high profile tranny cover out of a '70 blazer, complete with bullet holes.

Re: New member new Project

nice! are you leaving the bullet holes for style points? hahaha

Re: New member new Project

That bumper looks good on the pavement! Did you lower the bumper mounts down 3/4 for the body drop, or is it still stock and just the sheetmetal went down? Also did your cab have a pinch weld on the bottom? If so did you remove it? I lowered my cab mounts and the pinch weld is now holding my frame up off the ground about a half inch. Very nice build I will slowly be to the point you are! And I wish I would have gone LS motor. I'll be running a 94 LT1. Very nice!

Thanks "Dudes"!

Yes I did lower the bumber .75" also to match the rest of the body drop.

Tires are Nitto Extreme ZR 245/45ZR 18

Got floor insulation, mat, and seat in ... have gone on a couple short cruises.

This thing is a "Beast"!

Found a very talented kid( a rotulista, which is a logo painter) to help me get that old beater "shop truck" look.He did a killer job on my doors! I got my inspiration from Robby Acevedo with the Pacific Coast Customs shop truck project.

Tomorrow I will get some pics out in the sun cruising the town.
