Re: Pro Street Trucks/Cars pics!!! im in love with the fatty tires!!
I checked the website but it doesnt say if they are bias or radials??
how do they look compaired to the M/T's Jeff |
Re: Pro Street Trucks/Cars pics!!! im in love with the fatty tires!!
I had the Hoosier Pro-street on the truck. I sold them because I new I was gonna end up and the track with Paul around....;) The M/T Sportsman's dont even compare to the M&H's. I have seen this exact tire go 8.20's and drive great on the street. They are wrinkle wall bias ply. SUPER STICKY!!! Wouldn't run them on a DD. This is a newer tread pattern and compound. They are 30X18.5/15.
If you are running anything over 450hp. The radials are expensive burn out rubber. NO TRACTION, WHAT SO EVER!!! I put the M/T Pro's on the front to have bias ply's all around. |
Re: Pro Street Trucks/Cars pics!!! im in love with the fatty tires!!
how does it drive with all bias vs bias on the back and radial up front...my seems to wonder alot ( I know I have a few front end parts that are shadey but I'm converting to 2" drops with disc in the VERY near future and will replace alot of stuff)
I'm driving mine everyday and tire wear is an issue....I'm running the M/T pro streets now,,an I'm less than impressed with traction ..even with my puny 283..the thought of them with 500 cubics behind them makes me feel like they won't last long Jeff |
Re: Pro Street Trucks/Cars pics!!! im in love with the fatty tires!!
The "back-end wiggle" is something to deal with when running the bias ply tires, but major wandering.? I would start looking into suspension and/or alignment issue's. My truck drives great but I haven't had it out at highway speeds due to obvious reasons...

Our local cruise-in was held last weekend and it was a good opportunity to catch all of our local "fatties" out and about. Here are a few of the 14"-15" crowd.
