Do you still have the blue sunvisors, and are they in good shape? Also, would you have any driver quality driver's side doors? Looking for one that isn't rusted on the inner bottom, putting a patch panel on the lower outside wouldn't be a problem.

Still have the visors, I'll go check them out on condition in a bit. Sorry no doors right now. Thanks Randy

truckdude, glad it got there OK
(A)Alfred, glad it worked out good for you. I think I have some good lens out there, I'll look. I have a 1/2 disc brake booster setup $40, it was on a non running truck so I know nothing about it. Picking up parts is great.
Thanks Randy

Randy, I am going to hold off on the rims for now and try to locate some local. I still want the jack handle. Jack and handle was $22 shipped? How much for just the handle? Let me know how you want to get paid. Thanks, Chris

Not only where? But why part them out? No offence intended but I would think it would be way more fun finding a new home for them for restoration. I know a lot of the parts end up on the road but it takes another complete rig off the road for good.......why?

Mike, I go through this with guys like you that don't understand. If I don't buy most these trucks, they end going to scrap, and then no one gets anything out of them. The sellers get way more out of them to me than hauling them to scrap. I see cars and trucks going to scrap everyday I'd love to save but I don't have room. More than likely this truck someone would of bought it yanked the motor and then hauled the rest to scrap, that would of been great wouldn't it. If you haven't noticed around your area, junk yards are crushing alot of their old stuff and alot of junker guys are going around buying every car/truck thats sitting for $250-350 around here, no one benefits except the junker and crusher that way. The way I do it I save ALOT of parts off them then sell them to guys to get their trucks going, its a donor program if you will..... so thats you answer to why

Randy what do you do what the cabs? Do you scrap them? If you do keep an eye out for a nice top.. Mine is pretty rusted above the windsheild and I also have some hail damage.. I am thinking if i can find a nice top of the cab I might just hack mine off and weld a new one on. I also know of another guy needing some patches from a cab.. Just keep me posted and thanks in advance.

Randy,
Thank you for taking the time to explain. I fully understand the whole scrapping thing that is going on with the price of steel so high. It just seems like a lot of trouble, I'm glad your willing to go through it and at least save some of the parts.

I have an old original truck like this one (except a chevy) and I wouldn't consider parting it out. It's just a sentimental thing I guess. Thanks for explaining it and good luck with your endeavor:chevy:

Newbraunie, I'll get a quote on handle,
bguild, I sometimes cut them apart for guys, I have one coming in this weekend I think
mcbassin, I understand where your coming from. This just happened to me yesterday. I've been trying to buy this truck from a guy for years, noticed it was gone so I stopped by to ask, he sold to scrap guy for $200, I would of paid him $500 for it, but he wanted $700 all the times I asked before on it. I enjoy the parting better than the putting back together, plus it keeps me out of the bars where sometimes trouble finds me;)
Thanks Randy

Randy, Damn man I wish I would have known and found this before you started parting it out. Same question as before do you have any of the front clip body parts left? If so how is the condition? If you have the cab still and it is in good shape I might be intrested in it too.

Randy, I just got back from vacation and found the big block motor mounts on my door step. They look great. I'm glad you part the trucks out. It sure helps a lot of us with our projects. Keep up the good work. Thanks Bob

Hi Randy,
Do you still have the drivers side fender eyebrow I saw in the pic?
Need the mounting clips from it if you have them.
