Ok, don't tell me you still haven't gotten your motor mount yet? Why isn't this bad @ss motor in its home yet?

I'm still trying to figure out what to do in the front. Do I make some funky angles to makethe stock back seat bolt up? Do I make it simple and then just get some bucket seats or something?

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Dude two buckets up front and in the rear. Then one nice long console.

Pretty productive day. I moved/added my filler tube to the side of the tank in an attempt to use the stock location. I cut all of the sheet metal for the floor and started welding it down. I used 16ga which should be plenty strong, however, it is a PITA to cut.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
Hope the tank works out for you dude. The floor looks great.... I need to get busy. Lol

Re: 72 Suburban Build
I hope so too. I left the top fill spot there for now just in case it doesn't work out. If it works, I'll cut it out and patch it up later. I probably would've finished it all but it was 110 degrees today with the heat index. I was struggling.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
I feel you brother. It was about the same here. Kind of hard to come home and jump back out in the heat. I own an auto detail business so me and the guys are out in the heat all day long.
Keep it up man. Posted via Mobile Device |

Do you have a place to work on it in San Diego? Can't wait to see it in person.

Re: 72 Suburban Build
There is a pretty extensive street cruise up in Escondido weekly. It is a little far for me to go to being down here in east county but the Hot Rod Hauler guys go a lot. I have been having some driveshaft issues I need to work out but I might go this summer a couple of times.
Are you planning on driving the burban out or will it not be together in time? Mike Posted via Mobile Device |
