did your truck come with a big block? cuz how did you fit the big valve covers without cutting into the firewall? i had a heck of a time getting my 454 fitting in my 71 k20

My truck has POL tubular motor mounts on it that move the motor forward slightly.

very nice. and still got room to take those tall valve covers off and get your hand around the distributer confortably to adjust the timing?

Re: 1972 Black Cheyenne Super Big Block - JWall

Yes they give you a nice gain in space.
Since I haven't pulled a valve cover off of it, I cant say for sure but I'd say it'll be tight pulling them off because of the brake booster but I think it can be done.

Bad Ride. Hey, do u remember the tire size on ur old blue 72??? I'm going for that look. I'm actually trying to find someone with truck rally's. Mine has vette rally's. I want to swap. Also, we're ur wheels all 8" or 8" up front and 10" out back??

FYI V-8 engines sit further back in the frame on 4-wheel drives than 2-wheel drives, roughly 2-3 inches. Hense the major valve cover clearance issues.

I have ordered all new carpet, gas tank carpet, & kick panels.
I also believe I will have some more engine accessories to put on after Christmas also.

Very nice! It's the little details that take a truck from nice to SHOW quality sometimes. And not everyone will notice the changes...but when you see the pictures you can just tell the truck looks nicer :chevy:
