Chuckdriver, The dash will get finished when I decide on the ac-heat unit. The sure-fit unit crosses the hump in the floor. The GenII compact does not, therefore will be easier to cover up. But its not cable actuated. And I would like to do some wiring up there before to dash is welded in. And just like at work I'm waiting for supplies. The steering column and joint/ shaft was to be deliveried between 5/31-6/6 and it still not here. We are going to start the rearend this weekend to........After we go to harbor freights parking lot sale. Need(want) shrinker stretch and bead roller.

Well got the bed off, And going to start the rear suspension this week. Hoping to have the rear done by July 1.

where did u get the blueprint? I wish I had one of those before I started my frame work. Would have saved a lot of time.

Looks like it is from the factory assembly manual, scanned and enlarged. I did the same with the wiring diagram.

I did a little dismantling of the rearend today so I can cut the cradle. Sectioning 2.625" from it. And I received the steering joint, but no steering column.

Got the remaining gut out of the cradle, did a small repair. Starting to measure for surgery this weekend.

Dad got started on a relocating tool for the sectioned rearend today. So I'm guessing the fun will start tomorrow.

Dad and I got a late start, having togo and get gassed up at the weld supply shop. Dad had marked it and we got started.

I finished my jig today. And we will call it jig 2.0! Notice where the chair is and where the welder is. Dad did some tigging today on the cradle.

Got home from work this afternoon. The welder was here, aka Dad, finishing up the cradle.

I got started on the frame rails. Got one cut and fitted to jig. Needs to be beveled and then it's ready for welding.
