It's in the shop ready to be sanded down. This was a great score! The cab has very minor rust. :metal::metal:

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Good for you! That looks like a whole lot less work than either of the other choices.

Removed rocker on passenger side. PO had put small patches in the floor corners to coverup a little rust. Decided to replace floor, inner and outer rockers. I had them already.

Welded up floor pan today after mocking up rocker and door to make sure it was all lined up. Everything fit very well.

Your new cab looks great and repairs are looking good

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Thanks Jeff. There is still a lot to do but I enjoy going to the shop and working on projects.
|
Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Looking good! I have the same EFI tank coming in next week. Glad to see it mounts nicely. Any issues with it, or the biggest thing to do is remove/relocate that thin crossmember?
|
Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Tank looks good! I plan on a rear tank swap as well. Helps to add some weight on the back tires.
