Nothing fancy, just something warm

Re: My Facetruck thread.
special-K, I was re-reading your hat post.
Did you order a warm hat day, or did you order a warm hat. I suppose in the end it's the same thing. Why did I waste time on that? |
Re: My Facetruck thread.
Yes, I ordered a hat day and that was before yesterday!! I am so tired of all this drama here on FT. I put up a simple post about a very interesting event I thought all my "friends" () would want to know about and it turns into all this!?! And not a single like or share!?! I don't buy warm hats every day I'll have you know. In fact, it's been over ten years and that was before I was on FT! Have a nice day... FRIENDS!!! :ben:

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Yep, you asked for it. My son came home for Christmas and he hasn't left the couch since. He has Norovirus. At one point he was on all fours, pushed up say 6" off the couch, not because he was chucking, he was trying to find some level of comfort. Never quite visualized that before. I bleached the place. My mother and step-father aren't doing well. Mom has kicked breast cancer's azz twice, the first in 97 with chemo and radiation, the second three years ago. She kicked lung cancer's azz too, in 2011, and that's with two collapsed lungs.....She's regressing some mentally and more physically. Everything is a big deal. My step-father is a Vietnam Colonel. He's 87, and has smoked since he was seven. He still walks better than most in their 60s, but his mind is deteriorating. He continues to make for great conversation, and we're a lot alike. If you didn't know my dad you'd think he were my dad. The guy quit drinking scotch on a dime two years ago, and not so much as a beer since. My only complaint is he was hilarious under a 2-4 drink daily spell. My parents won't leave their two-story house. After being together 36ish years, married near 32, and three kids 18 to 31 years old, I'm currently determining how we split the sheets, which I'm presenting to "my ex" (has nice ring to it) next week. Heck yeah man, I chose the 71 :chevy: over my wife. More seriously, this is long time coming and worse by the day, but she doesn't much care for the project. The Chevy is not guilty:lol: if I say up she says down. I give the decision a thumb's up man, and I'm looking forward to it. But wholly *&%(*%(, doesn't come cheap. The place is nearly paid for and I'm not going anywhere, meaning the balance is going to be 40Kish more than it was to begin with, in 2001:smoke: |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
You know why divorce is so expensive?......It's worth every penny. At least mine was..
|
Re: My Facetruck thread.
I remember talking to guys about my marriage issues and they all would say, "Cheaper to keep 'er". And I'd say, "Not mine!". The only reason divorce cost me so much was because of "her" crazy debt that was "ours" and we refinanced the house to pay it off. So I'm still paying off her debt. I'm sure she's still a financial idiot.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Now this is what FaceTruck was created for.
If we could just get somebody to complain about a local restaurant, or tell us to be on the watch because a black truck drove by their house twice today. |

71CHEVYSHORTBED402, I have been sitting here thinking about how to, or whether to respond.
I have no experience and don't want any with the big D, but I have observed plenty. It appears to me from those observations that the faster you can get it over with the better. I wish you well. |
Re: My Facetruck thread.

It's a hat day here too. It's cold
|
Re: My Facetruck thread.
My hat day is hitchhiking cross-country because I was too cheap to buy it a plane ticket. It had made it to IA last night around 11:30. It's been on the road from WA since Wed.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Here's some Face truck drama
Wednesday morning trailer hooked up on my way to pickup a '62 C30. 15 miles down the road my gallbladder shot craps. Did a u turn dropped off the trailer at home and headed to the people garage where they proceeded to pull it. Now I'm sitting here trying to stuff down a spoon full of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. No appetite at all, sore tummy, dizzy light headed from not eating hardly anything and worst of all I still have a '62 C30 out there that needs picking up in the now single digit weather. |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Hey Jeffh, thanks for stealing my hat day thunder with your silly gal bladder problem. Everything isn't always about you, you know! ()
I can almost feel for you. I went through a gal bladder attack with my ex-wife. I know it's an awful thing. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Won't have to worry about that one any more. But anyway, back to my hat day. It still isn't here. It was in OH at lunch time. Musta rode through the night. I tell you what, it'll be 9 degrees New Years Eve. Keeping my head warm has gotten to be old hat. |
Re: My Facetruck thread.
How can yer head be cold with that giant brain churnin and burnin away up there ?
|
Re: My Facetruck thread.
Good point. It has to be right cold out before I'll put one on. And it's right cold right about now (outside).
I wondered into some good old live Marshall Tucker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RDUVKRqCc0 |

Re: My Facetruck thread.
My hat day must like OH. It was still there but in another town 14 hours later. Either that or it's stuck out on the hiway with a frozen thumb. Then again, it could be it got a ride from a fine female which led to other things. Like that time I was hitch hiking through Nevada when that gal from Tuscon who was headed to Eugene picked me up. Did I even tell you all about that trip? It was late Spring '81 and I decided...................

Clearing a new driveway and Log cabin home site West of Knoxville after being late or early to meet the utilities guys I finally noticed that at the bottom of the driveway my cell phone showed central time and at the top of the driveway it shows eastern time  This is MY version of living in a gated neighborhood !

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I like your kind of gated community .

That's quite a spread there. Not only a gated community, but it's so big it's in two time zones. How will you get any privacy with all those trees looking at you? Looks like not a lot of rock to deal with.

Well I better hop in on this facetruck thread with all this talk of cabins and pictures of tractors:metal:. Current status is at our cabin up at Red Feathers and here is the view out the back door. They are dredging the lake with front loader to make it deeper and hopefully avoid more fish kills. Man I've been missing being able to walk across the road and get a line tight. Funny thing is we came up yesterday and went from 14 degrees in the city to 45 up in the mountains. Usually the other way around this time of year.:mm:
