Yesterday i pushed forward and got the cab, doors and steering column painted. Today i was able to get the Raptor liner sprayed on the floor. The paint turned out ok, but the floor turned out great! The Raptor is easy to apply and looks killer!!!

Here are a few pics. Im going to start bolting this heapback together tomorrow!

Ok folks, lots of stuff occurred this week.

I got the carpet and seats installed, got all the plumbing sorted out, and installed the windshield, rear windows, the solid side glass and the passengers door.

Installing glass sux!!!

Man! I am peanut butter and jealous! I did a google search and stumbled upon this thread. I'm glad I did! I have a 49 suburban and I want to do the same thing! I never thought about using the complete floor pan and fire wall but such a great idea!! I was just planning to use the rolling chassis and engine...

There is an article in Hot Rod magazine on line about a group that did the exact same thing to your era of suburban. Check it out!!!

Man the burban is coming out amazing!! Wish I had the balls to attempt something like this and be able to pull it off like you did. You have made fast ground on a body swap like this.. playing around with cabs is nothing compared to playing around with a burban body (size and weight)!

This looks fantastic! I'm in the middle of a chassis swap from an awd full size van with a '69 body and wondering about your core support. Looks like you "channeled" it to fit over the frame horns which I have been thinking about for my project, but my radiator is too wide. Looks like your radiator fits in between the frame? Would you go the same route again or lower the frame horns? Again, looks great and love the outside of the box attitude.

Nope.....

Different suppliers, for sure.

My sandals are more Flip Flops..... Open toe, caught between the big toe and next one. Minimal intrusion into my "foot space"

Anyway, hope the wiring is coming along great and not messing with your head as it would with mine.

Thanks!

I used the radiator and frame from the trailblazer, yes it fit between the framerails. It all went together fairly easy, i would do it the same way again.

She's a runner!

I took yesterday off from work to get the burb running and it was a sucsess. It runs and drives great!! I took it to a show last night and got alot of positive feedback.

I only did enough wiring to get it running, so there is still lots to do. But, im really excited that i can at least drive this heap and work on it at the same time.
