so any updates?? a lil off subject, question have you figured if you were just gonna paint it green or do the hulk thing on the tailgate like you talked about?? i had an idea maybe do the 'no fear' eyes in green and with the words above it and below it with the hulk saying, ' don't make me angry.. you wouldn't like me when i'm angry!!! lol!!! just a thought!!

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street

Be sure and use the comic book Hulk tho...Nobody wants to see Bill Bixby's face on your truck...or Lou Ferrigno either for that matter haha! j/k trying to see if your there :haha:

Okay...so i will be doing updates tomorrow we have done a ton of work on the truck lately and as always the direction or look that i was going to go for has changed. I will be leaving a stock looking gate on the truck....I like the way it looks. No murals it just doesn't seem right to do it.....lol..... We started tearing down the back end and box...the floor in the cab is well under way...The firewall should be started probaly tomorrow depending on the last of my engine mods, one little change and it cascades from there. When you move the engine back as far as we did even a air cleaner change is a issue. But i think i could reach out and change the timing as I drive it now.......My other truck got the last of the paint on the weekend and i will be posting pictures of that on the long box build page wenesday or thursday....I also messed around on my other long box today swapped out a front end.....looked at the 58 and i think i am going to toss a engine in it and fire it up....Oh and I blew the head gasket on my street dune buggy...another project i really didn't need right now .You know i never thought i would say this but....I am so trucked out...lol....ya know by now i could have down loaded the pictures already..my bad

Huge progress, I need your troop on my truck, mine's taking forever...and I'm just swapping motors. :uhmk: Love the tubs and tin...mini blower is cool, but I like the duals...unless you want the extra 100 or so ponys. Great progress.

 I'm sure you're right. I get those ideas too, and then run with them. Then a few years later it's like what was I thinking? Luckily my wife figured it out long before we got married. :waah: If I ever have plans to get up your way, I'll definitely look you up.

On a differnt note I hope to update my project long box today later on ( I scored a few pictures of it yesturday ).....I hope to be getting it out of body shop jail tomorrow....lol....For the record neither the truck or i have been convicted of anything wrong, however mr body shop man extended the stay of the truck just because body shop guy's are like that ......no offence to the body shop dudes out there. I am not holding my breath and mr body shops nick name at my house is " Mr one more week "......

I don't remember seeing this build. I love prostreet builds but it looks like you are blending prostreet (a look I love) with slammed (a look I don't so much like) and I am interested to see what the outcome will be.
My prostreet, a 63 swb, will sit a little lower than stock too but not as low as yours for sure. My aim is to hit 8 second times in my truck, all motor, no adders.... a tall order I know but we will see...
Very nice build... Clean and sweet.. just how they should be.

Re: 1966 SBBW pro street

Well thats the great thing about this place.....there are so many differnt styles and blends to choose from......I pick and choose what i like and that works for me...lol....8 seconds is moving thats for sure...you plan on doing that with 600 hp ? I still am working on my engine but it's just about ready...waiting on a few add ons...I hope to have the engine completed in a week or so.....The way the bags are set i should have 11" of lift in the rear and 7" in the front that way i can pick the height I want and then when i park it i can dump it.

There is a lot to say about that "+" behind the 600.
The 63 is a build that I am collecting parts on and want 90% of them before I pull one wrench on the truck.
I have a 72 frame horn to graft in so I can bolt a power steering box on to the frame, no adapter needed. Not sure what tech inspection at the track would say about those adapters. ;)
Yeah, this forum has lots of different stuff going on. That is what makes it great.
The look I am going for is the 70's bracket racer look but much lower. They had those cars and trucks way too high.
As for the 8's, it's a goal, the same goal that got my 68 firebird to run a best of 9.44 at around 140, all motor.
Make 'em light, get the suspension right and they'll fly...
