I really should be packing, but I'm still working on the truck! Got the brake lines done!! Took the bed back off and welded the bottom side of the braces for the bed floor. Got my bed strips in and I'm going to try and cut some wood this weekend, after a trip to the junk yard for parts I need to get the motor in (have to work all day Saturday) so my plan is to get this all done Sunday! We'll see. In the mean time I started on the front tubs, with the 205 70's I didn't need them, but I figured if I put the 235 70's on later (I bought a set! lol) I'll need tubs!! So here you go!!

I like those inner fenders, does not over power the original style of the inner fenders. What are you going to do about hood hinges?

Thanks, but I don't take credit for the idea!!
Trimed stock hood hinges (bottom side where spring connects), and a hood strut to hold the hood up, just as coulter did. Super simple.

The instructions said either way will work, it came with a plug in one of the ports, does the front both need to be run seperate from the proprotioning valve?

It will work fine the way you plumbed it.
Mine on my '69 is the same.

That same prop valve could be used in a 73-87 application where the front lines are plumbed separatly at the prop valve.

Hmmmm I've never seen a single line on a front disc system. I always figured it would be better volume wise to have a separate line for each caliper.

lol, WOW is exactly what I think of your build!! Crazy amount of work your doing!! I saw your build shortly after signing up. Love your build too! What I really like is how many of us all have same or similar taste!! Maggie said your reply was the best yet!! Wish we all could meet up, hang out, and talk cars and trucks all day! This is the best board I ever been on!!

Looking at the valve it's doing the same as the tee, either splitting the fluid at the valve or later at the tee. Thanks for looking out, I like that!!

So we had big plans today, to get a lot done! We woke up to rain so our plans changed (no junkyard trip). We got up ate breakfest, watched tv, and rested!! We left around lunch went to home depot and picked up some wood.
Than to her grandfathers house to use his old table saw. Got a few boards cut before the saw quit working! I found a couple on craigslist, my plan is to pick one up this week, finish the boards, than give it to her grandfather.

I was inching up on my measurments so I ended cutting some boards twice than the saw started making all kinds of noise, bearing must have let go. So for now this is all I have, but you get the idea!

Yup I know Skim. Met him a couple times out at the Classic.

Went this last June to the Classic an was bored. After 20 years of VW's its time for a new addiction ...... I heart these old trucks. Plus gives me a chance to hang with my Dad as he has his own 71 C-10 :metal:

Yup, he's right up the street. He's busy with his Impala stuff, I see he's back on thesamba, we talk or text every so often.

I think the saw was beat a long time ago!! lol I already found a few, one in town where I work, I'll go check it out tomorrow.

We went with Cedar, it was cheap and the right width. I didn't have to rip any boards, only cut to length. Got the strips blank and cut to length from Mar-K. We will seal it later. Going to try and finish it this week.

ok I have to stop working on the truck!! This is my stopping point! The bed floor is done, I have a million holes to drill and I want to seal the wood but even those will have to wait. Heres a few finish floor pics and a few others, I threw the hood back on so Maggie and I could have a look!
