Drove the truck a couple miles :metal:still open headers:metal: and took some pics. This is as fancy as I get. Hope you like them. My attempt to put some farm back in this old truck.

Couple of miles with open headers to a photo shoot - so how long did it take for the smile to wear off - or has it yet? :)

truck looks really good!
my 65 is the same color, I found a rattle can krylon "satin jade"
that is almost a direct match to the faded blue-green our trucks are....

Been driving it :metal::metal::metal:short trips the past couple weeks:metal::metal::metal:. Put 2 chamber flowmasters on it. Exhaust sounds and FEELS great.

I love all the YAHOOS asking me if it is a 4-6 or 5-7drop.(I tried to explain what I did and after the second YAHOOS brain melted and ran out of his ears.
I just decided to tell them what they wanna hear.)

"I tell them it has drop spindles and cut stock springs." Then they tell me they used to have a truck just like mine but it was lower.

I've been to the Phoenix area a few times, and I sure don't remember seeing any cornfields. Did you drive to Iowa to get some pics? Hahahaha!

You've done a great job building some mean looking attitude into this truck. Well done!

hardwaa, how were your rear notches custom made? Is it because you moved your crossmember back?

I gave nate a template with dimensions and he cut them on his CNC plasma table I welded them together. I did not want any bigger notch than was necessary. Since my truck was not built to " LAY FRAME", I wanted to minimize the amount I had to raise the floor.

This was before he had his rear trailing arm kit. I would recommend talking to nate im sure he has what you need. :metal::metal::metal:

It makes perfect sense. Thanks. I am in the same boat, i don't want monster notches or too lay frame. It looked like yours wasn't as tall as other notches I have seen from Nate, I wasn't sure though. Your truck is sick, I want to achieve the same stance as yours (at ride height). Nothing like these old trucks riding low, just looks right.

Thanks again for the reply and message. :metal:
