I have the EXACT notches cut in my frame for a radiator, Joe. I wonder if there was some common type that got thrown in these trucks. Thats quite a bit of work you got done; I like airtools for quick disassembly.......

Jeff, I believe it had a 6 cylinder radiator in it, narrower, and when my father in law put the 283 in, he also put a v-8 radiator, which is wider.
here is what should have happened.... the rad mount (circled in red) needs the rivets removed and moved up to the hole (with the black arrow pointing to it. I will have to mod the upper mount also, because he mod-ed it to fit the radiator in there his way, and patch and weld the frame ;) Attachment 416539 we didn't have air tools, but did have a 18v Dewalt cordless impact, the wife loves it :lol: |
