Nate,

I see you have been surfing other threads. Yes, the the truck is in the paint shop, however I have not told them the color I want yet. I am thinking 69 507 light Blue which is the original color, However I have always been a fan of Turquoise paint. When I was in High School, my first car was a 57 Chevy 2-door Bellaire hardtop Painted 57 Turquiose. My Uncle had a beautiful 57 Cadillac painted a slightly lighter Turquiose color. Sooo....I'm wavering a little here (The Bret farve sindrome). I have attached the 57 cadillac and 57 chevy color chip charts superimprosed using "Paint" program so I could see them side by side. The 57 Cad turquoise on the left and 57 chevy turquiose on the right. What do you think?

Dale

I'm not that big on the turquoise, but I do favor the darker of the two choices. That is, however, a really nice truck! I'm seriously missing my trucks!!! :chevy:

I'm painting my truck the 507 light blue only because it was a one owner unmolested truck when I bought it. You don't see many of those around here where I live. I'm not crazy about the color but it grew on me after awhile. I would never paint anything else of mine that color. Nate

I'd say go with the '57 torquise, it's real close to my color and it'll really pop in the sun.

Hey Kyle,
There you are, I was trying to get a answer from you over the weekend about your Turquiose paint code, I just took a quick look at your thread, now I know what you were preoccupied with!! Sorry about the engine, I hope it isn't too serious.

Actually I went by the Paint shop after work today and gave them the 57 paint code, they mixed up a trail batch for me and I think they nailed it, looked just like my high school 57 Belair Tropical Turquiose. I told them to go for it!!;);)

I'll keep up with your engine issue, good luck..;);)

Nate, I almost copied your color scheme using Turquoise instead of the light green, but I decided on solid Turquoise. Your green in some of your pics almost looks like Turquoise. When I first saw your truck I thought it was Turquiose & white.

Well.....I just got the truck out of the AC shop, "Roger Lewis Makeovers". This guy was recommended by Vintage air as one of their best Installer Associates. Roger has been installing Vintage Air systems since 1979. He does
about 8 cars a month out of his shop in Pearland, Texas, Just outside of Houston. He usually has a waiting list. I first talked to him back in March. He called me just as I was getting the truck out of the paint shop. So..I got the the doors and windows back together(thank god that issue is done) and I took him the truck last week. Got it back friday. I now have Cold AC, Just in time, this weekend the weather hit 95 deg. and 94 % humidity, heat index of 104 deg. Hot!!!!

Roger always has some interesting cars in his shop, He had a 66 Mustang convertible, a beautiful 1957 Chevy Nomad SW, a 1938 Dodge 5 window coupe, and a 1950 Ford Custom Convertible. He has done over a hundred Chevy/GMC trucks!! I will post pics soon.;);)
